Saturday 22nd - Memory Lux tournament: all players have the same color. Sunday 23rd - History night: a journey through the historically based maps of Lux.
All events will take place at 8 PM GMT time / 4 PM Eastern time / 1 PM Pacific time. Each event will be hosted in a public internet game of Lux marked with Luxtoberfest, available from the Show Network Games button inside Lux. Each event will be hosted by a tournament master selected by Sillysoft. Here's a more detailed description of each type of event:
Tournament of Champions: Tournaments featuring the highest seeded players. The maps and settings are chosen by the tournament master. Every participant will play in 4 games and a winner will be determined based on the most points in this scoring system:
7 points for 1st place
5 points for 2nd place
4 points for 3rd place
3 points for 4th place
2 points for 5th place
1 point for 6th place
Team-play tournament: Players will compete in teams of 2. Show up with a teammate of your choice, or be matched with somebody there. If there are lots of teams then the winning team stays in the game and others switch out. The tournament master declares a winning team.
Luxtoberfest 2005 map review: Play and discuss the best maps of 2005. The tournament master will declare a winning player and give out the Best Map awards.
Twitch Lux tournament: A tournament of games where players only have 8 seconds to take their turn in. The tournament master will declare a winner.
Hexathon tournament: A tournament played on all the hex maps there are. To The Power of Hex, Castle Lux, Pirateers!, and more. The tournament master will declare a winner.
Memory Lux tournament: In Memory Lux, all players have the same color. Watch and remember where your countries are. The tournament master will declare a winner.
History night: A journey through the historically based maps of Lux. Vietnam, The World Wars, The US Civil War, ancient wars and more. The tournament master will declare a winner.
Closing Award Ceremonies: The closing award ceremonies are the grand-finale of Luxtoberfest on October 30th. All players are asked to email their votes to lux@sillysoft.net (or PM dustin) before the end of October in the following categories:
