Daredevil.

Issue 241. Black Christmas by Ann Nocenti and Todd McFarlane. Not the usual team. I had bought This title many times before, but this was the issue that got me hooked. This is a fill in issue, between major storylines. It just spoke to me.

(for the love of god do not judge Daredevil by the movie. )

Also the first 9 issues of EXCALIBUR are favorites of mine.

OH! And Grendel. 1986 1-12 series

AND favorite mini-series = "Stray toasters" by Bill Sienkiewicz who is my favorite illustrator ever.
Are we witnessing the dawn of a new age of Lux?! Will the new 4th edition map replace Bio, Deux, Rome, and Classic all in one fell swoop?! Will it solve all of the problems both real and imagined in the kingdom of Luxtopia? Will El Toro finally admit he's wrong and join the anti-holies? Maybe. Until we know the answers to those burning questions we can play this new world map designed by the entire community (or a handful of concerned Luxtopian citizens). The map was originally intended to be a more balanced version of the popular Biohazard map(s), however, it plays just as well (llamas say better) as an upgraded Classic Deux. More countries, more connections and more continents provides for a more open flow to the game and a bit of unpredictability.

Join the revolution, play 4th Edition!

Marauder, I apologize to you, because yesterday we had an altercation in the game and really respect you as a player and does not want this to escalate, just want to say I put my soldiers in NA, just to try to survive, and well, to hear you say that began killing them, I went crazy. We played a lot of games and I think we had one or two disagreements, I propose forget that mess, and move on.
PS: Yes, my move was so poor, just that I felt pressed and I thought that you could never take NA, I hope you know understand...

A group of graduate students at Johns Hopkins University have a possible explanation—the story takes place on a circumbinary planet, a world that orbits two stars."

Middle East trilogy of maps by FleshEaterUK is a wonderful exploration of the various regions surrounding Mesopotamia that have been a hot bed of conflict for centuries. This week we focus on the middle installment of the series - Arabia, with its simple, yet beautiful theme. The map has less than 30 countries, so it is a quick, fun game. Featuring several very powerful 1-country continents spread throughout, the map has a unique balance that will keep players on their toes. Scoop up and hold a couple of these important cities and you are well on your way to vanquishing your foes and controlling the Arabian Peninsula!

Do you have a plan for peace in the Middle East?

More of a convenience really, but it would be nice if I didn't have to change the prefs every time I wanted to play a new map, but if we could save the card increase and percent to a map. This way, there's no fiddling around, just click and play.

And activities authorized under the Act are subject to strict controls and procedures under oversight of the Department of Justice, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, and the FISA Court to ensure that they comply with the Constitution and the laws of the United States, and appropriately protect privacy and civil liberties."

The only trouble? The F in FISA stands for "foreign," not "federal." Stop and think about that. Surely, they oughta know better.

Our esteemed president is a "constitutional law scholar," right?

(Indeed. Our country is in the best of hands.)

Dear para,

I write this with no malice, anger, and I write this in complete sincerity with not a trace of sarcasm.

I make no backhanded compliments. I sincerely believe that the actions you do for Luxtopia go above and beyond what anyone can ask for
I have always been a great fan of all you have done here at Lux, and was one of your staunchest defenders since Day one (my sixth ever post) and stood up for you when you were attacked baselessly. When your host was ranked red, I changed my red nose to green just as an act of solidarity. I've admired your dedication to Luxtopia, and have met no one with a greater commitment to improving the game and community as a whole. Your gifts to the community in terms of statistics, theories, and hosting have been immeasurable. If you weren't a moderator, you'd have never heard a negative word from me at all.

Let's not forget I have PLENTY of my own faults: Questionable sense of humor, not knowing when to quit, tendency towards indignation,* a hard-to-cure intellectual elitism, (though you have been the first to accuse me of haughtiness ), though when I'm in situations of power (when I've done my own moderating, or when I'm acting as clergy) I police myself strongly.

My ONLY issue with you is one which I feel is integral for being a Moderator. and that is being moderate--not acting abusive towards Luxtopians. Behavior that might be explained away coming from the normal user, becomes harder to take from someone in authority. Flagrant disregard of the feelings of the constituency smacks of tyranny. When a moderator is charged with ensuring users refrain from abusive speech and then flaunts such use himself, that's crossing a line.

In the past month, I've made posts that weren't addressed to you, but for which you felt it necessary to chime in with snark, and hurtful speech. I try to start discussions about what the goals of Luxtopia are, and you disrespect and denigrate everything I write. There were plenty of other people making a much stronger Anti-Classic stance, and yet you felt it necessary to single my post out and use language that I find viscerally hurtful.

Moderators SHOULD be held to a higher standard, and so I call on you to at least TRY to have your attitude match the high level of service you give to this community in every other way. I don't want to see you stop contributing to Luxtopia, but if you are going to continue to be a moderator, I'd like to see you be the best moderator you can be

I will continue to be one of your strongest supporters for all the Good you do for Luxtopia, but I will also continue to call you out when I feel your attitude might be hurting all you are trying to accomplish.

-n00less Cluebie

* a fault, which no doubt partially leads me to this post
