Adjusting Unit Strength Values
Adjusting Unit Strength Values
When buying units, a Purchase Unit Window would come up first for the Castle, Pawn and Knight with an Attack, Defence and Number/Purchase columns. With the ATT/DEF columns, you would have 0 to 5 let's say.
So as an example a purchase of pawn unit/s would have ATT value of 2 DEF value of 4. But there's a catch whether you purchase 1 or more units those units can not be separated but must stay together and only can merge with other units of the same values - (To make armies bigger).
When you purchase units with different values a flag (player's colour) would be created like this showing - 2/4, meaning ATT 2/DEF 4, so you can see on screen what you have.
You can still have different units in this way occuppying the same hex, but perhaps a limit of three-so you can see the flags of your units, otherwise it gets too crowded. (I think).
The Castles of course don't have ATT values and the Purchase Unit Window would not let you have one, but you can increase Castle DEF.
I think this would make game play more challenging with different Unit values.
