Hello mungo and welcome to the Vox forums.

It's possible to set it up at one computer.
First off, you need to launch a headless server where you need to specify '-public=false'. Once done, the console will output something like:

Code: Select all

Finished reading in a map file. Finalizing...
? There are no human players, so the game will not start yet ?
Starting VoxServer with local IP 192.168.1.12 port 3319 and waiting for players
to join...
Now you can start Vox, enter the first player name and select 'Network Games'. In the 'Private game address:' field at the bottom left enter IP:Port, which is 192.168.1.12:3319 in my case, then choose 'Join Game'. The first player should now have joined the room. You'll see some output in the console window as well.
From the 'File' menu select 'New Game' and repeat for the other players, choosing a different player name of course.
Finally, there'll be 5 game windows in your case, each for one player.

I don't know, if this works w/o a valid license entered before.
