There is any developers support??

Post by demoix » Mon Oct 27, 2014 12:38 pm

Hello,
several days ago I bought Castle Vox, register serial key, everything was fine. After few days I reinstall windows, then download Castle VOx again, register game, everything was good, but then when I was trying to download maps it says There were error instaling "map_name" ! I send latter to developer email, then to facebook, but still no reply over 3 days for them. If you don't fix it give back my money, becouse only feature in full verion is download all maps, but now I cant!!!

Hello Demoix

Just for clarification are you receiving this error notice on all maps or is it only particular maps?

Sometimes when reinstalling games if you didn't delete the game and all of its components for Example, Saved downloaded maps this can cause an issue where downloading a file that may already exist in a game file already. I will consult with my fellow members of the makers guild to see if we can get you a solution as soon as possible. Thanks again for patience.

"deletechache" is what you would have wanted to type in I believe. Try this and then close and restart Castle Vox

If this didn't work, Have you tried to join an online network game? I would be interested in finding out if you join a network game where it usually prompts you to download the map if this error appears. I would recommend popping in the Cave Horror map where myself and others are playing at the moment.

Thanks again

After looking closer to your plugin manager, I wanted to install the same map I see you installing to see if I get the same error and this map doesn't even exist in my plugin manager. So I am now curious to the version of Castle Vox you are using. When you open Castle Vox could you please let me know what version of the game you have downloaded. You may find this at the bottom of the window of the title menu.

All versions of Vox receive the plugin manager data from the Sillysoft server. It doesn't matter what version he's using as it'd show the same plugins. The Wasteland is a current map and available for download for all players too. Double check your plugin manager, Snype.

Deletecache didnt work or does nothing.

Yes, I can enter to online games, I also joined to your game at Cave Horror, but at single player this map won't apear.

I'm using 1.2 version (February 25th, 2011) , which downloaded from http://sillysoft.net/vox/ about 1-2 weeks ago

If dustin (primary developer) is not here to help you with your problems, then you deserve a full refund.

(Just imagine how much would be owed Lux side if the same standard applied over there.)

Which java-Version are you using ? I guess you changed it by reinstalling your OS.
