Blown Server...
Blown Server...
Unfortunately, today the ManicMonday Server crashed - actually it did not crash at all, but got rebooted by the hosting group noobs. They had/still have networking issues and my brother called them to fix the machine. Two reboots occured, now the network is back up again, but the active games are lost... that sucks...
The Vox Network games are restarted now - feel free to join again.

Re: Blown Server...
(Given the longer term nature of Vox games, then perhaps hosts should save a game state file after the conclusion of each round, so hosts can be reloaded and resurrected in case of shutdown or crash?)

Re: Blown Server...
Is this to be fixed?
Re: Blown Server...
Unfortunately that cannot be fixed at all, Dustin told me two or threee years ago when we discussed that theme.
Para, obviously the tracker for Vox is down, can you fix that ?

Re: Blown Server...
Programmatically exporting game state data after each round or every fifteen minutes is simple enough. Both Vox and Lux clients receive and restore game state data every time they connect to a server. Otherwise, they couldn't join or rejoin any game in progress. Why couldn't a server use a similar restore process after interruption? I can't imagine why it would be impossible.
(Sorry, but I can't help with Sillysoft server side issues.)
