If things like that continue and come to be the new style than i'm gonna quit.
Its not the new style, and it is what we mods have been cracking down on.
If someone is abusive to you, or you see someone being abusive to others, please /report with the name of the abuser and we can take care of it.

Or you can use the /mute feature for any annoying chatter.

There are a lot of new players...not all of them come to the forums. /mute can save a lot of people a lot of grief. I urge mods to GET THE WORD OUT ON THE STREET of this key game feature.

Let me put it this way. Did you send a /report or did you just expect the suspension fairie to take care of this player.

∞ Nim searches for his glasses ∞

*Edited to add that the player in question was suspended 8/27, one day before this whole back and forth started.

That's discriminating and racistic and made me send a report for the first time ever!
But I found no warning on his account - until now! Maybe it will appear at the end of the week - I dont know.
Yes, took care of this shortly after you sent the report,
and if you check the mod log, you will see it was dated 28 hours before you posted this.

Saying the word itself is tolerable, as long as its not used excessively,
but abusive language should not be used towards another player.

Darth Rellek wonders why Sam is hearing this alot

I edited this to point out the fact that I said "Hi, How Are You" first....

I have been seeing hate speech based on nationality quite a bit recently, to varying degrees of severity. I reported one case a couple of weeks ago.

Is it now acceptable to say "fuck you" when you disagree with another luxxer's opinion, or does this still fall under the "no directed swearing" policy?

It's seems most people on here aren't really for censorship either, and there are just a couple that are. I don't think anybody wants Lux to be a racist, homophobic, misogynistic, rude, swear fest, well, some of us might, but most of us don't. However, I'm actually offended by what FelliThePhoenix said.

Take some responsibility Felli, instead of trying to hurt the game for all of us.
I don’t like it when players are verbally abusive to me either, but the game already has built in ways of solving that for you. You can mute players like that, if you don’t want to hear it. I didn’t know that for a long time.
I don’t even know how the person that said "your mother does the work in my house - ... - ... it's always the brown people that does the work" would even know that you would be offended by that.
To me it’s ridiculous that this idea of all of us being “the same” is perpetuated. If stereotypes were so inaccurate, especially “skin color racism,” then how could any of us possibly know what would be offensive to any player, other than what they have said and how they play? I’ve not seen the skin color, sexual organs, or disabilities of any of you people, and none of you have any idea if anything I say is true or not.
It’s laughable to me that the “most offended” crowd seems to be able to effectively censor the majority, and I’ll laugh about it as much as I can.

really?

Feli's post was 5 years ago!

It's not about being better than anyone else. It's about society as a whole moving in a positive direction as opposed to the opposite. No one here is saying full on censorship but when players continually to behave poorly then they should be held accountable when clear rules have been posted.

You obviously have strong opinions but I have to wholeheartedly disagree with your justifications.

I don't get why it matters that Feli's post was 5 years ago. I think that a post from 5 years ago is still as valid today. Human nature doesn't change that much, if at all.

I pretty much agree with the rest of what you said about accountability. We know who is accountable for what, and that's enough. We don't need censorship.
