MARCH — The Last Ninja 2012
MARCH — The Last Ninja 2012
In March, the Ninja Tournament 2012 will happen. You can start registering per PM or online chat to mentor09 from now on. I will put your name into a random chosen position on the grid which always can be seen here: http://lux.dc6iq.de/node/33750 or http://sillysoft.net/forums/viewtopic.php?p=279571 (the latter gets updated after a view of the first).
We will play only best out of three two human player unranked games with an empty bot on the Shogun Map. It is done with a modified starting szenario and adapted bonuses which are better balanced than a random szenario would be. Losers get killed and are out of the tournament. Winners stay and enter the next round. In the semi finals we will play best out of five, the final games will be best out of seven. Immedeately after the final match, the awards are given out.
This tournament is limited to 64 Players, register quickly !
There will be a TheLastNinja host with a Shogun map open all day long in March where the duels have to take place.
Settings are Cards = 4,6,8 and Conts = 10%. Timer is set to 30s.
During the first four rounds its in the players responsibility to find a time slot where both players can play.
The games of the first round must be played between February, 27th 2012 00:00 GMT and March, 4th 2012 22:59 GMT.
The games of the second round must be played between March, 5th 2012 00:00 GMT and March, 11th 2012 22:59 GMT.
The games of the third round must be played between March, 12th 2012 00:00 GMT and March, 28th 2012 22:59 GMT.
The games of the fourth round must be played between March, 19th 2012 00:00 GMT and March, 24th 2012 22:59 GMT.
Semi finals are starting at Saturday - March, 25th 2012 23:00 GMT (we want to have the audience watching the fights). If both opponents accept, the games can be played earlier as well - they should announce the time at least one day before the actual fight in this thread.
Games for third place and Final Game are starting at Sunday - March, 26th 2012 23:00 GMT. This time is fixed, so we can all watch a perfect Ninja rumble
So in round 1-4 there is one week time to play the game, but there might be circumstances which make playing impossible.
If the game was not played in time, both players get eliminated from the tournament by default. The only way to stay in the tournament is claiming a win.
There is a 10 minute window after the first four rounds to claim a win. If both players claim the win, the are called by the to play their game immedeately. When these games are finished the next tournament round starts.
You get the nifty ninja silhouette award as winning award for the tournament. The other semifinalists get a sword award...
* Winner award
* Second
* Third
* Fourth
Here is the current Grid:

Hi Mentor!
Thank you for hosting another great tourney.
I know you prefer the single game shootout in the first rounds. But as games make so much fun and are such pretty fast, i personally would prefer to play best of 3 already in the first rounds. So it would be a bit less independent of dice luck. The last years we spent hours of waiting for our oppenent and then after 5 mins all is over for one player. So let me suggest to let us play at least 3 games in every round I don't want to start any discussion here - you are the tourneymaster and should decide about the rules, which we have to accept. So it is just a small suggestion to think about.
/me looks forward to another great tourney.

Rule Change !
Ok since you requested the rule change, here we go:
We play best out of three in the first rounds, best out of five in semi finals, best out of seven in final games. I adapted the software so it hopefully works
Enjoy !

Re: Rule Change !
Thanks for the change... while I never officially requested it, I felt that playing only one game for any round was unfair and based much more off of chance than off of skill. I believe that best 2 out of 3 will be much better for these early rounds .mentor09 wrote:Ok since you requested the rule change, here we go:
