Yup, I like it. My zucchini's are not coming in real well this year... zuke-a-lantern's might be a bust, especially if the deadline is firm. Maybe I'll try a digital version, but I know sasquatch already got me beat.

I don't think I have the skills to do a digital Lux O' Lantern, but I will carve a real one and submit a photo before the deadline.

Lux O' Lantern awards 2013

Thank you to those who participated this year. Some great designs!

The winner of the virtual pumpkin is Sasquatch for his Charles Nelson Reilly theme

Best live carving award goes to Drifter!

In an unexpected occurrence we have had a number of vomiting pumpkins submitted this year so I am giving a special award to jesterme for his guacamole inspired creation.

p.s. what do you put in your guac?
2 avocados
1/3 bunch cilantro
roma tomato diced
red onion (1/2) minced
garlic powder (sprinkled, to taste)
salt
pepper
1 serrano pepper (seeds removed for pussies)
1 jalapeno pepper (seeds removed for pussies)
1 lime (juice squeezed like pauley shore used to do it, squeeze the juuuiice)

mix and beat the hell out of all of this. cool it down in the freezer for like 30 minutes. get some good chips, and beat off the guaca-zombies.
