Re: USA Presidential Election
See, that I can get behind. Jill Stein is a perfectly reasonable second choice for a Bernie Supporter. Giving up your vote completely I don't understand.

I see a Clinton / Warren ticket in the future.
Elizabeth Warren is a female Bernie, she will unite the party and bring the Bernie supporters to the game.

Re: USA Presidential Election
Naraku golf claps for the corrupter in chief as she is anointed by corrupt 'lawmakers' that they've either created or helped to gain or retain their power, Congratulations Amorica looks like you will end up with the president you deserve after all...It is a Federal Crime to negligently handle classified information under United States Code (USC) 18 section 1924. It is a Federal Class A Felony under USC 18 section 798. Hillary certified under oath to a federal judge that she had handed over to the state department all of her emails, which she clearly did not. In spite of her repeated statements to the effect that everything that she did with her home brewed email server as Secretary of State was above-board and approved by the State Department, the Inspector General Report vehemently refutes this claim. Hillary refused to be interview by the Inspector General’s office in their investigation, claiming that her upcoming FBI interview took precedent but it seems more likely that Hillary is more concerned about committing perjury or admitting to anything that can be used against her in a court of law.
“Secretary Clinton should have preserved any Federal records she created and received on her personal account by printing and filing those records with the related files in the Office of the Secretary. At a minimum, Secretary Clinton should have surrendered all emails dealing with Department business before leaving government service and, because she did not do so, she did not comply with the Department’s policies that were implemented in accordance with the Federal Records Act.”
Inspector General Report
Hillary Clinton is guilty of exposing classified documents to foreign governments by placing them illegally on her server, of sending and receiving classified documents and conspiring with her staff to circumvent the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) by avoiding the use of the State Department run servers. Some of the documents were so highly classified the the investigators on the case weren’t even able to examine the material themselves until they got their own clearances raised to the highest levels.
While there is an excellent case to be made that Hillary committed treasonous actions, the strongest case the FBI has is charging both Bill and Hillary Clinton as well as the Clinton Foundation of Racketeering. There’s no wonder why it’s taken this long for the FBI to bring forward a recommendation.
The rabbit hole is so deep on this one that it has taking dozens of investigators to determine the full extent of the crimes that have been committed. Perhaps the most interesting question here is whether or not the FBI’s investigation will be able to directly link The Clinton Foundation with The Hillary Victory Fund. If this happens, the DNC itself may be in jeopardy of accusations of either being an accomplice or of being complicit in racketeering.

If you you google the name, Naraku, it will be defined by the words, "buzz kill".
Re: USA Presidential Election
This president/democracy brought to you by Google!Pointing out that Google's former CEO Eric Schmidt is now heading the Pentagon's innovation branch, Assange said: "Google is heavily integrated with Washington power, at personal level and at business level... Google which has increasing control over the distribution channels... is intensely allying itself with the US exceptionalism."
Commenting on Clinton's nomination prospects, Assange said: "What we have with Clinton is someone who is a hawk but who has the tools of legal interventionism, a rhetorical cover to start the wars, and someone who seemingly wants to start them... From WikiLeaks' perspective Hillary Clinton is a problem in terms of war and peace."
According to a report by RT, Assange is not the only one to have identified a connection between Clinton's campaign and Google. Behavioural
psychologist Dr Robert Epstein said in an interview that Schmidt has set up a little-heard-of start-up called Groundword, the sole purpose of which
is "to put Clinton in office".
"It's a very secretive organisation, super high-tech stuff, and [it's] very likely they're using these techniques that we've been studying in our research to make sure that votes are shifted to Clinton in November," he added.
"There is a merger between the corporate organisations and state... 80% of the National Security Agency budget is privatised. The NSA is the core of
the US deep state... There has been a smoothing out between the government and the corporations," said Assange, indicating that there may be
quid pro quo deals between the US government and private tech giants like Google.
"[Google] shows the will to use that at different levels. It will inevitably influence its audience," Assange added.
Re: USA Presidential Election
Hilary Clinton is a corrupt psychopath. I loved her calling out Trump for his lack of foreign policy experience; somebody should ask her to name her foreign policy success. Intervening in Libya was by far Obama's worst FP mistake, and Clinton was in charge of the State Department from front to back.
Clinton supports a $15/hr minimum wage now. Did she while she was on Walmart's board of directors? Did she dissent from the company's anti-union stance? Did her stock options from that time factor into her husband's pushing so hard for removal of trade barriers with China (which enabled Walmart's rapid growth thereafter)?
Anyone who wants to tie in an Iran-Contra connection, google Mena, Arkansas. Who was governor during that time?
This will basically be a sixth Bush term (1 for GHWB, 2 for Bill, 2 for GWB, and another for H).

Re: USA Presidential Election
Heard an interview with a Bernie supporter last night on my way home from work on NPR. He said to expect mass deregistration from the Democratic party when Bernie doesn't get the nomination.
Even if Hillary were to choose Bernie as her running mate he says that they will not vote for her and that there is nothing she can do to sway them.
He stated that they will beat Trump with a third party candidate.

Wait wait wait.....
You think W. and Bill were the SAME?!
If you think that the President who nominated the Notorious RBG for SCOTUS is equivalent to the one who nominated Samuel Alito, then you haven't been paying enough attention.
Look here for the few places where they hold similar views vs the places where they strongly disagree with each other:
source
So what DO they agree on? God, weaken the EPA (yet prioritize green energy?) , strong punishment for crimes, marijuana is bad, privatize SS, pathway for illegal immigrants & Free trade
What do they DISAGREE on? Pretty much everything else: ALL Individual Rights (abortion, gay rights, etc.), gun control, ObamaCare, Vouchers, Govt. Stimulus, taxing the wealthy, the military, American Exceptionalism and avoiding foreign entanglements.
Are they similar in that being politicians they all lie and cheat and do whatever they have to do to get power, and then keep it: YES!
Do they have the same position on SOME issues? Yes! But overall they had VERY different philosophies on how to run this country.
Then look at Hillary vs Trump and tell me there's no difference there either:

Or for fun Hillary vs Bernie

The comparison you cite is highly suspect. GWB "strongly disagrees" that stimulus is better than market-based recovery?

Clinton not believing in American Exceptionalism is not borne out by his stated positions on American leadership either.
Most importantly, both supported trade and market policies which weakened protection for workers and weakened the US economy in general in order to favor friends of theirs in industry. The difference was a matter of which industries were most favored. And the ultimate result was the concentration of wealth which is the rallying cry of Sanders' campaign.

Yea Clinton was so in favor of same sex rights that he started the illogical don't ask don't tell, and signed that heinous bill called "Defense of Marriage Act". Turning the clock back to '50's era US gov't policies in regards to gay civil rights and liberties.

Re: USA Presidential Election
News Flash! You still have 5 months to decide your vote. I don't know what's funnier today... all the people vowing to vote Bernie no matter what, all the people obediently switching to Hillary because it's your duty, or all the people lamenting Trump's eventual triumph because of the Democrat's division. Wait until they print the ballots before you marry or divorce your candidate. And be sure to stock up on popcorn (or Guy Fawkes masks) for the conventions next month. It ain't over 'til it's over, baby!

Re: USA Presidential Election
In the latest case of donors to Hillary Clinton’s personal causes winning favor from the Clinton State Department, meet Rajiv Fernando.
The head of a Chicago-based high-frequency-trading firm, Fernando got a seat on the International Security Advisory Board, a group of nuclear scientists, ex-Cabinet secretaries and other experts that looks at the risks of nuclear war.
That puzzled his new fellows: “We had no idea who he was,” one ISAB member told ABC News during its investigation.
Thanks to e-mails uncovered by the watchdog group Citizens United after a years-long Freedom of Information battle, we now know that Fernando was put on the board at the direction of Cheryl Mills, Clinton’s chief of staff at State (and now her personal attorney).
ABC actually started asking questions about Fernando back in 2011. The e-mails show regular State staffers were themselves puzzled about how he’d gotten the job — and were told by Clinton’s flunkies to “stall” on answering ABC.
Before any answer went out, Fernando quit, and the story died.
In advance of getting the prestigious position, he’d been a big Hillary donor, maxing out donations to her presidential PAC in 2007 and 2008, and bundling over 100 grand. He’d also given more than $100,000 to the Clinton Foundation — later rising that to at least $1 million. He’s also bundled for her current White House run. And he’ll be a Hillary superdelegate at the Democratic Convention.
In unrelated news, Clinton this week doubled down on her promises to clean up Wall Street once she becomes president. Right.
Naraku wishes he had a few million dollars to buy a sweet job in the gov't
Re: USA Presidential Election
No way a securities trader could benefit personally from being on a top-secret government security board...
Re: USA Presidential Election
Many years ago, Hillary spoke with exiled president Richard Nixon, as she handled the Watergate investigation. No doubt, she took notes and learned “the rules” from the Mastermind himself during negotiations.
Because today, Clinton stands as the unchallenged Criminal Mastermind of 21st century politics, taking the mantle from Tricky Dick, as she is capable of perpetrating Machiavellian-level crimes without being caught, including most recently a case of voter fraud. I know this not from hearsay or listening to Fox News, but having endured the voting process myself.
On June 7 th I voted for Bernie Sanders in California, registered as an NPP (No Party Preference), who is legally able to vote in the primaries so as long as I request a democratic ballot.
Although I requested such, I was given a Libertarian ballot. I explained that I didn’t want a provisional ballot but a democratic one, since I wanted to “make my vote count”. But the poll worker insisted that I needed a provisional ballot, intentionally ignoring my request.
This kind of electoral rigging is illegal and is causing Bernie Sanders to lose this election. Voters registered as NPP (no doubt the majority of Sanders supporters) were being warned that poll workers may be trained to do this, hoping to disqualify as many NPP votes as possible.
So not only do we have to worry about Super Delegates and biased mainstream media coverage (or lack thereof), but also electoral fraud on an individual basis! People have died fighting for our right to vote. All we hear in the media is to get out and vote and make a difference. Support the process and keep the nation a free country!
So how disheartening it is when we learn that our votes are being tampered with, just so the most conniving politician can thrive?
Now that Bernie is being illegally forced out of the election, we also get bullying rhetoric by Hillary Clinton supporters stating that it’s our duty to “unite” and vote for Hillary to stop Trump. Since when did voting become a rubber-stamping process? “Falling in line” and supporting someone we don’t want to vote for is now the patriotic thing to do?
Naraku can only ponder what new scandals lurk just over the horizon...
Re: USA Presidential Election
so much fun not even in the white house again yet and here we go... Scandal season!
Russia releasing Clinton Emails
The release would, the messaging indicated, prove that Secretary Clinton had, in fact, laid open U.S. secrets to foreign interception by putting highly-classified Government reports onto a private server in violation of U.S. law, and that, as suspected, the server had been targeted and hacked by foreign intelligence services.
The reports indicated that the decision as to whether to reveal the intercepts would be made by Russian Federation President Vladimir Putin, and it was possible that the release would, if made, be through a third party, such as Wikileaks. The apparent message from Moscow, through the intelligence community, seemed to indicate frustration with the pace of the official U.S. Department of Justice investigation into the so-called server scandal, which seemed to offer prima facie evidence that U.S. law had been violated by Mrs Clinton’s decision to use a private server through which to conduct official and often highly-secret communications during her time as Secretary of State. U.S. sources indicated that the extensive Deptartment of Justice probe was more focused on the possibility that the private server was used to protect messaging in which Secretary Clinton allegedly discussed quid pro quo transactions with private donors to the Clinton Foundation in exchange for influence on U.S. policy.
The Russian possession of the intercepts, however, was designed also to show that, apart from violating U.S. law in the fundamental handling of classified documents (which Sec. Clinton had alleged was no worse than the mishandling of a few documents by CIA Director David Petraeus or Clinton’s National Security Advisor Sandy Berger), the traffic included highly-classified materials which had their classification headers stripped. Russian (and other) sources had indicated frustration with the pace of the Justice Dept. probe, and its avoidance of the national security aspects of intelligence handling. This meant that the topic would be suppressed by the U.S. Barack Obama Administration so that it would not be a factor in the current U.S. Presidential election campaign, in which President Obama had endorsed Mrs Clinton.

So Naruku, since you apparently live in a state that flipped from Dem to Rep, where voting third-party made a REAL difference, I wanted to follow up:
Are you satisfied with the result of our election? Is Trump a better end result than Corrupt Hillary? I know your man Bernie didn't win, and we'd all have rather ended up with him, but since it came down to those two candidates are you at least as happy if not more happy to have Trump over Clinton?

It's a post-truth world..
- "Oxford Dictionaries has declared "post-truth" as its 2016 international word of the year, reflecting what it called a "highly-charged" political 12 months.
It is defined as an adjective relating to circumstances in which objective facts are less influential in shaping public opinion than emotional appeals.
Its selection follows June's Brexit vote and the US presidential election.
Oxford Dictionaries' Casper Grathwohl said post-truth could become "one of the defining words of our time".
Post-truth, which has become associated with the phrase "post-truth politics", was chosen ahead of other political terms, including "Brexiteer" and "alt-right" from a shortlist selected to reflect the social, cultural, political, economic and technological trends and events of the year."
Re: USA Presidential Election
I usually see "post-truth" used as a criticism of the right, which is ironic because lack of credibility in the major media is what created the opening for the Breitbart crowd to define the narrative in the first place.
The Podesta emails are full of examples of outright coordination between the Clinton campaign and media players. We live in a media world, and if the levers of media are deliberately used for the benefit of one candidate, then the media loses all credibility and the gap can be filled in by anyone. And because we live in a world of dumb people who will listen to anyone who flatters them, it's guaranteed that the person who comes to fill in the truth narrative will be dumb or a demagogue. Trump is a result of failures of our institutions.
