Welcome to the stragglers. 2 peeps shy of a full house now.

Perfect time to take a glance at the obligatory RMPNZ tally board, fully up-dated from Un to Cinq. Monkey went ape in Cinq, swung right off my chart.

Waiting on one more player to join now.

Below the qualifiers score sheet you'll find a simplified layout of what beats (off) what. Thanks n00bless, well spotted first time round.

Game play in brief(s)

Using Sexto throws

There are 5 Sexto throws, pictured below on left ---- Each throw can be used once only during the game ---- Maximum 1 Sexto throw per match Except in matches which go into Sudden Death play-off.

When a Sexto throw vs Sexto throw the outcome is decided as if they were standard throws.

A player who loses their Sexto throw to a standard throw must also defeat their opponent's Sexto throw with a standard throw only or suffer immediate elimination.

Using standard throws only. Players can choose to do this in any match.

There are two special rules which apply to these players. The rules do not apply to players who run out of Sexto throws.

1 - If their opponent is using a Sexto throw a tie is counted as a win for the player not using a Sexto throw. If the match has two ties the second one stands as a tie.

2 - A player using a Sexto throw is eliminated if that throw loses in a match against a player not using a Sexto throw, regardless of the outcome of the other throws.

Image defeats all standard moves except Image
Image defeats all standard moves except Image
Image defeats all standard moves except Image
Image defeats all standard moves except Image
Image defeats all standard moves except Image

Upgrades Players can only use one of these and only once only per game.

Image Reverse Plushing beats (off) everything. Cannot be used in Sudden Death play offs.
Image Ménage à trois. Three Sexto throws are used in one match. Only two of these Sexto throws will be included in your line-up though. The third Sexto move is a 'tax' (of your choice) May be used in Sudden Death play-offs

Although still short a player The RMPNZ Illuminati Committee has given the tournament their blessing. Last spot will fill before all Round 1 throws are submitted I'm guessing

Part Sexto has now officially begun!

Time to get your mittens dirty. Good, clean fights won't be penalised but they'll certainly be frowned upon.

Your host advises a glance at <a href="http://sillysoft.net/forums/viewtopic.p ... 84180">the rules</a> and <a href="http://sillysoft.net/forums/viewtopic.php?p= 283965#283965">what not</a> before choosing your Round 1 throws. The upgrades (special moves) do not have to be chosen now, they're available at any time to any player who's not already armless.

To maiden players - best if your selection of throws are submitted to me via pm; posting them in the thread may give your opponent an advantage.

PS - I'll use this thread to play the tournament - keep things simple.

Now that a Match has gone to Sudden Death it's only fair I remind all players that each of the five Sexto throws can only be used once per game. Maximum 1 per match until you run out of them, unless you're using the upgrade.

On that subject - it can't hurt to keep track of what Sexto throws your opponent has already used.

Her opponent and semi-regular RMPNZ player Rhye is the clear underdog of this match, suffering round one knock-out in all his tournament appearances.

Good game, Rhye! Clearly, the tossing was just your way of keeping up the tradition of <strike>whirlplaiding</strike> graciously ceding to your RMPNZ opponent in Round One. Most thoughtful.

Two RMPNZ frequent fingerers up next -

SunTzu A.K.A. <a href="http://sillysoft.net/forums/viewtopic.p ... 58595">The King of Ties</a> against WhirlPlaid, RMPNZ regular under-achiever.

However buoyed WhirlPlaid was by his recent Mafia XXXI win, it's going to take more than a confidence boost for him to survive this match.

SunTzu's tally of 8 wins from 11 matches is impressive. Earning half those wins in Sudden Death Play-offs is the icing on the cake. But is this love affair with the Sudden Death Play-off sustainable? The most tenacious player in the field is still shy a final's win.

Anyway... less claptrap, more biffo right?

ROUND 1

Round 1 Match Results:

1 - Zombie vs Zombie: Tie. (Rest in Peace) No winner
2 - Ninja vs Ninja: Tie. (Make Enlightenment Not War) No winner
3 - Pirate vs Pirate: Tie. (Longest Swashbuckling Moratorium on record) No winner

Match Result: Tie. (No ! required)

Round 1 Match 2: WhirlPlaid vs SunTzu

Image Strikes again!

SunTzu skips off merrily to his home away from home, The Sudden Death Match Fight-Pit.
