Licensing / Class Project

Post by kitkatbeard » Wed Sep 02, 2009 2:36 pm

Hey all,

What are the licensing rights on lux? I couldn't find anything on the website or in the code documentation, which is why I ask.

I'm working on a senior honors project for my BS in Computer Science. It will be involving Risk and AI, and a quick Google turned up your site. Lux would make a great framework and testing ground for my project, but I'm concerned about licensing issues that may arise.

Username 'dustin' is in charge of the site, so you'll have to ask him.... but he's on vacation.

You may also want to try sending a private message to Username "Bertrand", who created the AI reaper, which definitely has the best reputation of the bots here at Lux....

Some of the files have copywrites some don't.

Try mailing the E-Mail.

Player/Username "Dustin" would most likely know about this and be able to inform you, and since he's the creator of Lux and what not you could ask him. Seeing as he's on vacation I'd take Wontrob's advice and ask some known Map Makers.

:D

(You never know, he might be checkin his support E-mails, tho )

Hey,
You're allowed to use Lux and the Lux SDK for any non-profit educational projects.

Please let us know how your project goes!
