Lux SDK update?

Post by SunTzu » Sun Dec 06, 2009 1:14 pm

When's the last time that the SDK has been updated? I know there are some methods available that aren't in the SDK, such as getMapTitle().

And is there an updated XML spec for the .luxb file? Or hasn't anything changes in the past year or so?

Also, what's the latest version of JDK that we can use in Lux?

The SDK hasn't been updated in awhile. Is there anything in particular you're looking for?

You can use any JDK version you want with lux, from java 1.4 or above. However, if you create a plugin that requires Java 6 (for example), then only people with java 6 will be able to use it.

The updated source files are the only things I'm really interested in.

Any methods added since it was last updated are essentially "undocumented" right now. And I haven't figured out how to compile anything that references one of these undocumented methods. I guess I could always add a generic method to the existing source, but I might get the name or signature wrong.

Also, how much of a hassle would it be to force people to update their version of Java?

Not much hassle at all if you can get Nancy Pelosi interested in it...

That's good, so most people should have Java 6 anyways.
