I've modified an existing map and it won't let me upload.

I've modified "Beleriand". Fixed several ambiguoug-looking borders, reduced the strength of the northern continents, made more Elvish strongholds, made Gondolin more isolated (one-way in only).

Do I need to rename it to upload it? I've tried contacting the author, by PM here and by email. Two weeks later, nothing.

Advice please.

What error message do you receive when you try and upload it?

Did you modify the <author> tag?

Did you change the version #?

The error said that I'm a different person than the one who uploaded it (true).

I did modify the author tag, I added myself. I did not take out the original author. I thought that would be presumptious.

I did modify the version number. Bumped it up a bit as I edited it.

I think if I rename it, it may take it. But it really is just a slightly different version of the same map...

Oh, I haven't been checking my PMs. He did write back:

You'll have to change the title of it for it to upload.
