October 11-13 is Team Play Weekend
Saturday 11th - Monday 13th, TeamPlay Lux Tournament
Time: all weekend
This tournament will consist of 1 or more rooms playing TeamPlay games. If you've never played a Team Lux game, look at the TeamPlay page in the wiki.
Scoring is as follows (for each game):
4 points for 1st place team
2 points for 2nd place team
1 points for 3rd place team
Each team will have to play at least 20 games minimum to get a score, which will be the (points/games) average.
You will be assigned to a team when you show up, if you don't have one already.

Dustin did you raise the minimum games required this year?
From what i understand team MFS automatically drafts most rookies out there which eventually results to more games played by our team.
Last year 10 monkeys played only 1/5 of the games we did and ended up with second.
I feel 100 games minimum is a better number to measure the ability of a team.

Last year you wrote that 50 games should be minimum Dustin.

So far nobody is playing yet, but that might be good.

It was fun playing with everyone on Team Weekend!!!
Great Job everyone!
I would like to renew a request I made last year to make Team Games a more frequent event. Maybe Quarterly? With of course a big championship team tournament in Luxtober.
Anything that brings comaraderie and loyalty to Lux I say we should try to encourage it. It was fun putting people together on teams with players they wouldn't naturally team up with. Brought out the best in some people.
It took the good part of the first day for some players to even figure it out. Even I at first couldn't remember why some players were not assigned teams. I forgot there needed to be a minimum number of games before being eligible to be on a team.
Anyway.
Thanks Dustin for Hosting Team Play!
Cheers.

Ok it's true we played the min amount of games but if you see our win ratio i think it's pretty clear we won this fair and square. We played 18 games on sunday so we barely made the 20 and 95% of these were with the same three players (General K, shockandawe and me). So don't hold it against us we didn't play more games because team LCS consists of so few players.
(PS: We stopped playing after 21 games because we wanted to give everyone else a chance to win a game )

sorry i wasn't around on Sunday to help MFS take the gold.
it seems (as always) the team that plays the min amount of games and no more wins.
GJ LCS
I would love to see teamplay become a weakly tournament. (every friday or every saturday)
no point to wait all year for it.

Yes, I must say team play was VERY fun. Enokrad and CaptainMurphy were excellent team partners. I really enjoyed playing in Rome, I felt I was more of a hinderance than a help in Classic. In fact I dropped out first in one classic game and Pars-Hat came to the rescue to book MFS the win. I then returned the favor in Rome when Error and I played and Error dropped out first.
Over all a great time and thanks to all those that gamed.
Peace
