A bunch of us were in Claudiu's host talking about this map and it was suggested a thread be made for suggestions, so here it is. First of all, it looks great. I'll post my thoughts in separate posts.

1. From the layout, it looks like a natural connection between Evvoia and Karasi.
2. There are a couple of huge one country continents. I know you guys said in our discussion it was strategic, but here's my thought anyways. Byzantine is at least three countries wide.
I would either...
a. break them up into smaller ones
b. give them a bigger bonus because of the number of borders.

Historical Maps have the tendency to suffer in gameplay in order to stay true to the geography. I think there are too many corners on the map-- countries with only 1 border. Squeeze a few of the ones in Greece together, and you'll fix that AND not have as many minuscule territories which get lost in the shuffle. It was amazing, I watched Shockey do _2_ half kills in 1 turn, leaving one player with 3 armies, and the other with 2, because he couldn't figure out the connections in Greece. It was most amusing.

| First off, I like the map a lot. But, I think that the area between Ilkan and Kipchak Hordes is a bit cheap if you can get all that income with only two borders, let alone Byzantine and Ilkan... To solve this you could always make a country connecting Pontus and Caucasus. |

| I really enjoyed playing on this map. It was a lot of fun to play on and it remind me a lot of another historical map that many players balked at "Reinisance Italy". Which I really enjoyed and still play from time to time when we play winner picks next map. Keep up the amazing work! |

I totally understand this. I'm just impressed that you'd suggest us posting our thoughts. I know how defensive I get when my maps get critiqued. |
