I just need to brag a little bit about what some refer to as the "The Swedish Music Export Phenomenon".

Did you know that Sweden is the 3rd largest music exporter in the world with over 800 million dollars in revenue last year –superceded only by the US and the UK. Number 3 on that list isn't that bad since there are only 9 millions people in Sweden.

The earlier successes of groups and artists like ABBA, The Spotnicks, Blue Swede, Harpo, Secret Service, Europe, Roxette, Ace of Base (my apologies..) was followed more recently by The Cardigans, A Camp, The Knife, The Soundtrack of our Lives, Mando Diao, Robyn, The Bear Quartet, Neneh Cherry, Moto Boy, E-Type (my apologies again...), The Wannadies, Hammerfall, Millencolin, Titiyo, The International Noice Conspiracy, The Hellacopters, The Hives, The Sounds, Sahara Hotnights etc.

Furtermore some Swedish songwriters/producers (Denniz Pop, Max Martin etc.) have written worldwide hits for pop artists like Britney Spears, Backstreet Boys and Celine Dion (my apologies again...).

Right now I am listening to Brendan Benson from Michigan though...
