So ya I've gotten 6th in both games ive played...im very frustrated by this...

Question about the scoring: Below, in a 3 player game, Mazza had a 6.33 average and finished in 2nd place and was awarded .01 even though his score was above 6. Two games later, I came in 2nd place in a 5 player game and lost .006 to my average which is also above 6. Is there a reason for this?

The short answer is that you've already surpassed the "over minimum" bonus ceiling ...

( total points / games ) + ( ( games - 4 ) * 0.1667 ) = SCORE

(This is the basic equation excluding bot game weighting and bio / Rome time adjustments.)

Once you hit 16 FH games then you receive the maximum +2.0 bonus and nothing more ...

Additional games will apply toward your point total and average only ...

Mazza has yet to crack the ceiling thus the discrepancy ...

I want to apologize to all the people that i flat out asshated today.

MANY HORRIBLE MOVES that failed by many

hell i should have not even tried in the first place.

Many sorry to Hearts since she received the short end of the stick on most of those cases.

Even more so i feel responsible since i'm most likely the reason she's not up among the top 3.

This was a lot of fun today.....we should always play without the chat......it was rather peaceful; busy, busy day of luxing too, most fun i've had in a fair while

It was fun to some extent but i haven't felt this shitty since i screwed pacman out of a top 3 spot in last years retro.

This tourney was the cherry on top of a horrible day all around for me.

If it makes you feel any better, Enok, Hearts would've still been in 4th if she won that game. I completely understand though. We all make mistakes, and we've all had those days. Cheer up.

I had a ton of fun in this contest. The silent approach eliminated the "buddy buddy" aspect of Lux and evened the playing field a bit for the more average, non-grandfathered luxers v.s. the lux oldtimers.

I also LOVED The "no coolness" part. Being "cool" wrecks games and I had some very fun games in this tourney. One went into the 59th min.

More silent rooms please...perhaps we can have one silent bio room Para? Just to try for awhile?

i agree with everything plane crazy has just said......silent rooms is the way that lux should be played.....do not get me wrong, i love the chat concept of lux; however, it is a war game, and i have always chuckled at the thought of the Axis and Allies "chatting" during one of the World Wars......heh, "you can have Egypt, but in return we want you outta Greece right away!!" lol, it just doesnt make sense.......

The silence in the classic rooms also i think made for far better strategies during the game.....there was far more placing in other people's continents, as peeps were not just handing over SA for Aust, for example. This made for far more exciting games in my opinion, good end games, good lead-up to end games

Overall, i had a blast, and not only because i won a few games, more because it reminded me of playin Risk, i guess.......
