Thursday October 28th, Tournament of Champions for All-Time High Seeds!!

Tournament starts promptly at 6 PM Pacific / 9 PM Eastern / 2 AM London / 3 AM Paris

The highest seeds of all-time compete for dominance!

Your ranking page will have a "(high of Xth)" beside your seed (unless you're at the highest you've ever been right now), and this lifetime high seed is what is used to enter the tournament. If you have ever been seeded in the top 10 then you should show up and you should be able to play. Some higher all-time seeds may also get to play.

This TOC will consist of 4 consecutive games played by the 6 highest all-time seeded players who turn up at the appointed time. There will be 3 rooms (running brackets A, B, C), so a total of 18 people will be able to play. If you are top 20 seed you should definitely show up, and there will probably be room for some higher seeds also.

Show up on time to play. The A bracket will start exactly at the appointed hour. The B room will start 15 minutes later, and the C room 15 minutes later then that.

It will start on Classic map. 6th place loser picks the map for each next game.

Scoring is as follows (for each game):
8 points for 1st place
5 points for 2nd place
4 points for 3rd place
3 points for 4th place
2 points for 5th place
1 point for 6th place

The player with the most points in each room will be declared the winner of their TOC.

Hi Dustin

isnt this time shedule a little bit unfair to all european players?
Cant we take a time where both, americans and eurpeans csn play or better like the last years a early and a late room?

I and i think also some other non US-people would like to play, but at this time it is nearly unpossible for working people to play. Why this change to lasrt year?

It would be very nice to get at least one room for european time zones!

Thank you - GFips

Sorry Mazza!!

i did not want to forget the bloody australians and all the other nations on the world. I just wanted to give an example. If i am informed correct, the europeans are after the americans the second largest group of players.
I just know a lot of european players who were also (like me) not lucky about these starting times. I surely wanted to speak for all nations. And by "US" i spoke only in an example for all americans ...

I think 2 or 3 different starting times for the 3 rooms would just allow (nearly) everybody on the world to play and give a fair chance to everybody.

So lets keep together and lets find a solutions working fine for the most of us.

So Dustin: is there any chance, to get different times or at least lets do it (in future) on the weekend. All "Non Americans" will have problems to play else.

last year, Dusin ran the tournament in 2 different time slots, and yes, it did work as a resounding success......i know coz i played in the "late" tourney, which prolly was around midnight in the USA, but worked out well for me at around 3pm (i think it was 2.30-3pm).....if Dustin keeps this time as the only time for the tourney, i also will be unable to play, as it will br around 11.30 am Friday in Adelaide, which really, suits me as much as the Lux Bowl tourney starting at 3am on a Sunday did.......oh well, shit happens i suppose

It just happens this way Gfips....i know about 2 yrs ago, i proposed for a rotating weekly reset time, and i know others have also proposed this for quite some time....... i am still waiting, but hoping that one day..........one day down the track...................who knows, they may hear the Kangaroo calling

Crying or Very sad
