I think anyone who "suicides" in a mafia game should be banned. I mean, if you don't have time to check in at least once a day (especially if you are a critical role!) don't sign up.

Not trying to start an argument or speaking specifically to anyone here, but when people don't show up to play (play = 5 minutes a day to read the thread), it really makes me take the game much less seriously.

An idea I've been thinking about was having like a full day in the beginning of each tourny where people are required to check in, and then we can weed out some people who signed up.

I understand being "busy" but it's a bit rude to sign up for a game without checking your 'busy' schedule in advance.

sorry capi
I appreciate you hosting Mafia and all,
but the new rule of not counting votes on afk's is flawed.

Someone could use that to be afk till the last minute in hopes than everyone would withdraw their vote from him and then come the last moment to vote.

At the same time,
if all votes are against an AFK (who happens to be a mafia/yakuza),
then he/she can simply not vote and have someone else get killed along with him/her and help the clan.
(that is an easy way to cheat the system for someone that belongs to a guilty clan)

Also had there been a tally i could have easily changed my vote to TSK and killed her instead.

I was in the forums at the time,
Didn't think that with so many people left and only having 2 votes against me would be enough to get me killed.

anyway.

Good luck innocents.

I agree. You could still have a rule to kill anyone who doesn't vote, but don't kill them until after the vote has taken place. That way if a non-player gets the most votes, they get lynched.

sorry capi, but this mafia isn't as good as the last one. Every vote, it's " Have another 3 hour extension, and another, and another." just let the timelimit be unchanged. Anyway, this one is kinda confusing.

Mazza explains to Nooless that it is exactly like in the Olympics, when the 4th place getter receives the Brass medal for outstanding achievement

I'm beginning to think we need to make people pass a simple IQ test before they can sign up for a game...

Confusing?

This is the closest to a standard game of mafia as you can ask for.

Also, you were outraged and completely confused by the fact that the mafia knew who each other were and, in turn, they knew that everyone else was not mafia. This is the premise of the game... The mafia kill you, while you try and figure out who they are...

If you're confused by the premise of the game, 1) you probably shouldn't be playing and 2) you played Mafia XX as a mafia member, and you had no problem knowing exactly who the innocents were.

So you basically played Mafia XX and XXI without knowing how to play. Yes, we can all agree Mafia XX was better, but only a few people gave me any feedback as to what kind of game they wanted, and they wanted a game with many less roles. To me, less roles means less excitement.
