Welcome to the 5th Annual Castle Tournament! castle

Presented by Snype Entertainment Inc.
(A wholly owned subsiduary of the Anti-Holy Church Of Lux)

Welcome back castle tournament members and a greeting to all possible newcomers. This is our 5th year running this spectacular event and I personally look foward to running it once again. The tournament has a few minor changes for the 2011 year as you will read below. Please familarize yourself with the guidelines...

TEAMS:

The tournament will consist of 6 teams of 5 people. so spaces for entries are limited! One member from each kingdom will compete against members from all others in total domination on this years castle maps. AI selections have been removed from this years tournament. The AI selection will now be replaced with random substitutes. Subs will have the same role as the AI agents and will be treated as such.

KINGDOM AIR
KINGDOM FIRE
KINGDOM WATER
KINGDOM VIRTUE
KINGDOM BANE

TIMES:

The tournament will run all through out January. The times and dates will be posted 1 week prior to each days event.

AT LEAST 1 MEMBER FROM EACH TEAM WILL NEED TO BE PRESENT TO REPRESENT YOUR TEAM!
Having at least 1 player on opposite hemispheres is always helpful to starting times.

WEEK 1 SCHEDULE -
MON. JANUARY 3rd - 6:00pm (EST) - CASTLE SI
WED. JANUARY 5th - 4:00pm (EST) - BATTLE OF BAMBURGH
SAT. JANUARY 8th - 2:00pm (EST) - MERCHANTS

WEEK 2 SCHEDULE -
SUN. JANUARY 9th - 12:00pm (EST) - INFINITY
WED. JANUARY 12th - 7:00pm (EST) - CASTLE ER
FRI. JANUARY 14th - 5:00pm (EST) - CASTLE HD

WEEK 3 SCHEDULE -
MON. JANUARY 17th - 7:00PM (EST) - CASTLE IP
WED. JANUARY 19th - 6:00PM (EST) - CASLTE MP
FRI. JANUARY 21st - 5:00PM (EST) - SCOTLAND

SCORING:

Points will be based similar to Luxtober scoring. Each team will recieve points based on what position they finish in the game.

1st 8pts
2nd 6pts
3rd 4pts
4th 3pts
5th 2pts
6th 1pt

Each indviduals and team totals score will be their gaming AVERAGE.
Scoring equations are as followed for year 2011

*Teams configurations can vary based on SUB participation, Bonuses and/or Penalties.

GAMEPLAY:

*Prior to entering the game everyone is expected to be on Guest Only and remain as Guest Only until given instructions to unguest by the tournament director.

*The settings for each game will be determined at the start of each tournament day and will change for each day of the tournament. (This includes card values, turn time, continent increases.

*All teams should have at least 1 person from their team present to start the tournament. The first 3 games are mandatory! After the first 3 games, games can and will only continue as long as 5 out of 6 teams are present where as the non present teams will be forced to use a randomly selected SUB.

*For any reason if a players needs to leave early another member may take the place of that player. If no member is present to take over then you must complete the game! Any player that losses control or leaves a game the choosen default bot will take over control "Defender Bot" No Subs in this situation.

*The Progressive attack rule has been removed and is replaced with a Progressive Time Attack rule. A 1 hour time limit as in previous years will be used. Teams that exceed past the 1 hour limit will receive a 1 point penalty for exceeding the 1 hour time limit and an additional 1 point penalty for every 10 minutes there after until the game has ended.

*A new kill bonus will be placed in this years tournament to also encourage players to make kills and prevent marathons. Kills made after the 1 hour time limit will not be counted. The bonus for a kill is 1/2 a point

*All Players will be expected to follow all rules and the COC during tournament times. Failure to abide by these rules can result in penalties and/or ejection from the tournament.

Each player must successfully complete a minimum 5 GAMES total from any of the Castle Lux series...

FINALS - Castle Rivers
(Finals includes all 6 Kingdoms)

Kingdom of Ayrlawn has been removed (2011)
Hunters Keep has been removed (2011)

Failure to complete this requirement by the end of the tournament will result in Disqualification for the player and a penalty on the teams final total. Choosing your teammates based on dedication would be key.

Each team is also required to play a minimum of 3 games for each of the tournament dates. If a team member is a no show in a 15 min grace period after game time a random Substitute will be selected.

REGISTRATION:

Because of limited spaces available, the castle tournament will grandfather all previous tournament members. Invitations have been sent to existing castle tournament members. These players have first choice on open seats this year. Pre-Enrollment for returning players will take place now until Dec. 18 followed by Open Enrollment which will be announced for possible new memberships.

Just your team.

If you want to switch teams you will have to go back in the draft.

In the case of a returning member you would have the option to switch teams right before open enrollment. but the other team must accept you.

I don't think I actually "signed up" - I was just wanting my name included in the Draft if there are spots available. I think you have to be drafted, not just sign up and play.
