Certainly people can take a little bit of responsibility and schedule a time when they can both play. Failure to do so is on them, not Mentor. If you don't appreciate the efforts of someone making an effort to host a tournament for fun, don't play. Criticizing in the thread in the middle of the tournament is just kind of rude. |
I was not criticizing, but giving a suggestion. Can't you see the frustration from both players not being able to complete their games and from mentor not having results for said games?
It's the reason I didn't want to play in the tournament to begin with. I didn't want to have to spend an entire week trying to chase someone down to play one game.
I'm not trying to insult mentor in any way, but when every other tournament is run based on a set date and time. Maybe it's because it is easier and more efficient for both the players and the host? |
Not really the time is set to sunday 23.00 GMT if every other date fails. Whoever is there can play. So simple. If you find an earlier time you can play then... |

I have repsonded to your PMs and showed at several occasions( including a time set by you) , its a shame we have only been chasing each other in circles.
I will be available for the rest of today, let me know if there is a time and I will come as soon as I get your message, otherwise I suppose I'll let you take the win. |

Hi Testosterone! You are a real Sportsman and were my favorite for the toruney win!
You had the necessary dice luck and played the game against me *very* well! REALLY GG
Nevertheless you let me pass to the semifinals because you cannot play any more games in the tourney!
Thanks Mentor for another great and funny tourney!!!! I hope it will be redone next year again! My little suggestion for next year: i would prefer to play best of 3 or best of 5 already in the first rounds![/b]

I agree. Or at least 2/3. If you get diced in your 1 game then you are very likely to lose (at least against a good opponent.) I think too much chance is involved for the early rounds. |

I agree with the 2 /3 , but why only in the early rounds, if anything, it is more important to do 2/3 in the later rounds.
Just my 2 cents

Isn't Lux mostly about dice ? If the two players are both "perfect" players - it's all about dice. Even with 3 or 5 games...
Sometimes you get diced, sometimes your enemy.

| in my last game, both players got diced. It was all about when. He didn't get diced when it mattered, so he was able to get good incomes and win. I got diced when I tryed for castles, and when I tryed to break through a 15. |

at the week end. So a couple of doctors tried hard to heal Fippers horrible blade wounds and yes - after a couple of hours they did it
Testosterone will get an award for 4th place. Good thing he told it GFips early enough that he is unable to play!
And now - who is going to kill GFips a second time now ?

I see..
We suposed to play in like 4 hours from now but i just pmed The Blade that im ready for it now, i needed to setup the room before but i dont believe he is at home now. I opened a private shogun room just like mentor09 his room is. If the blade can make it that would be nice and if not he will win.
If i dont pm the results in 80 min from now The Blade will go to the next round. |

| I hope everything is okay with you Mentor. I waited until 23h51 GMT - no sign of you. BWE beat GFips 2-1 in an exciting semi-final. I am willing to play this later to have a fair final - I will keep an eye on this thread to see what happens |

Ouch - i went to bed early because of summer time clock change and simply slept in... Tonite we could play it if you still like, i'll be in the ninja room from 22.00 GMT on.
Sorry for waiting for me ;-(
PS: Really great you managed to continue the tournament even without me being there and playing even PJB while he is banned - really cool.

I was wiped of the board in the semifinal by BWE (you had some dice luck, but you used it for a perfect win -> so GG! Well done! / dam me that i did not have to play Blade, who i beat in the test games on this day).
So the Last Year Ninja congrats you both for reaching the final and wishes you much luck for the final games! I hope to see some nice fights for the tourney win!
