but not for me anymore. My girl bunny is sick and we are taking her to the vet thursday. We would take her sooner but the bunny vet won't be there until thursday.

THAC0 got replaced with BAB (Base Attack Bonus)

For a 7th-level Cleric it's +5

For the 5 Bar/5 Rogue it's +8/+3 (2 attacks per round)

For the 7th level wizard it's +3

and for the 8th level fighter its +8/+3 (2 attacks per round)

Then you can add strength bonus, weapon bonuses etc.

BTW, If I used the Divine Power Spell I'd switch to using a Fighter's BAB so it'd be +7/+2 (2 attacks per round) hmmm, may be I should memorize that one.

Take off the Prayer (Extended) Level 4 spell, and throw on Divine Power. . . . from my character

You compare a d20 (attack roll) plus whatever bonuses (BAB, Strength etc.) vs. the monsters AC.

So if a Goblin has a 15 AC (+1 size, +2 dex, +2 leather armor, +1 shield), and Dvallek attacks with his +4 Katana and a +4 Strength Bonus, he'd have a

+16 (+8 BAB + 4 Str + 4 weapon) to his first roll, and +11 (+3 BAB, +4 Str +4 weapon) on his second attack, and thus his first attack hits*, while he only needs a 4 on his second attack to kill the Goblin

Note: a 1 is ALWAYS a miss, and a 20 is ALWAYS a hit (and a crit!)
