It's ironic that before the first team game was over GK was already launching into the usual "stupid move, bad strategy" comments (aimed at the team who eventually won).

We had another great team game night! Thanks again for hosting, Smedz!
MFS admittedly fell somewhat behind in 2v2v2 games, but 3v3 turned out to be a MFS specialty |

Team results up, it does appear to be getting more competitive as all players now seem to more or less understand the concept. It was a shame that Rob only made it in at the last minute and thus missed out on the games. Sadly MFS were cheering at this point!
Great games as usual, great to see Muskie and Toro carrying the MFS challenge forward. Sorry If I wasn't as good humoured as normal, it had been a very rough day.
See you all at the next one I hope

It was a hoot, as always - thanks for hosting Smedz, and thanks to MFS for such a great turnout, I think we had a total of 7 team members floating around at one point!
I had to break early thus missing what looks from the results like a very good MFS night again...but highlight of the evening for me was undoubtedly Muskie's debut performance! Picture the scene...
Round 2, I (pink) leave SA for Afr with my 11 guys against 2 - they don't make it. *rolls eyes frantically* I am out of the game.
Viking (dark blue) has NA, UC (light blue) has SA. Smedz (Black) has Oz, General K (grey) has much of Asia. Muskie (red) has Africa and much of EU, but is looking a little like he's about to get gangbanged from both sides.
Quite what happened next I don't know, except just when MFS were looking at a 0 pointer, something happened. I think Viking hit Asia from NA weakening Gen K to the point where Smedz had to come out of Oz to take his teammates cards. He missed, leaving Gen K with 1 country and 3 armies, and himself with a string of maybe 8 empty countries. Muskie was next up, had 31 in Afr and a cash, as well as a direct line to the combined cards of Smedz and Gen K (9 of them!). Off he went, with MFS cheering the inevitable win.
Except...in true MFS style, Muskie's Finger Slipped, somehow missing both Gen K and Smedz
Blue came in and finished them off, but Muskie somehow managed in his next turn to take out UC, leaving Team Seduction with 4 points instead of 6, and MFS with 2 instead of 0. Well played Muskie, and welcome to the team*!
*don't do it again, you gave us all heart attacks

Shit I forgot all about that. It wasnt just that he missed us, it was that he walked right past K and then fortified Oz as if to protect me, clearly he was embracing the whole point of "TEAM"
It was arguably the funniest thing I've seen in Lux recently, with of course the exception of every time Rob takes to the board.
Can I also add that it was indeed a plaeasure to see Nietzsche make his Team Lux Debut, similar welcomes to Glowextreme and King Patrick. Glow and Laney formed a formidable and aggressive partnership, producing the best set of results for the MFA thus far. |

I promissed Smedz that I will drop any conflict in the team games.
So drop it Willie! I won't reply!

There is no room for abuse in Team Play, unless used as a fabulous strategy to wind up the opposition, or unless it is directed at The Tide.

| It was big fun despite some unlucky dice in the first games. Especially enjoyed the 3 vs. 3 games with two consecutive 7:0 wins vs. NYS and a 5:2 result vs. LCS. Thanks to Smedz and all the players involved for this event. |

Thank you for the wonderful description of a magic moment in that game, preacherman and Smedz! I remember the scene, the disappointment about preacherman's bad dice and the sudden turn in luck when Smedz strangely tried killing his mate and didn't succeed, but opened an incredible opportunity to muskie/MFS *gasping*.
And then he goes and 1. *doesn't kill K, who has 5 cards and only 1 army on two countries* and 2. *doesn't kill Smedz, who has only about 10 countries with no single army*! He even "protects" Smedz in Aus. Imagine the horror, rob-like images penetrating the brain, awe and bitterness gripping a team mate's heart!
I have to apologize to muskie for my shortsided feelings, as this seemingly irresponsible move turned out to be a well-planned strategic masterpiece! A perl in MFS' usually muddy and erratic movements. A winner.
K turned in his cards and moved on to pester all through NA and SA, severely impacting on blue. Muskie just standing on the sidelines with a decent bunch of armies, having captured most of Smedz in Aus.
Blue retaliates, eventually kills K, Smedz and his cards fall into muskie's hands, who then can eliminate one of the blue players to seize a second place nobody would have dreamt of.
What a game, what a moment in the history of Lux. |

Smedz, in regards to Team Night, the best part was when my team won three in a row.
After that, everything was done real badly by you because my team didn't win.
I hope you address this problem immediately, because its ruining my lux experience.

It has been pointed out to me, by a statistician that a 1 point error exists in the team league. Clearly with the number of games played we should have 448 total points, not 447. So someone is short a point. I take full responsibility for this hideous oversight and will happily make amends, by performing laps of the MFS stadium at next host.
Seriuously though - whilst I am indebted to mr rodeo for popping into the forums and letting me know, it is a slight concern that so few of the games are recorded, other than manually. Can i thus suggest that someone be assigned as score checker, to make sure I never find myself facing a disciplinary committe for Jiggery Pokery.
Also - bidding opens now for the elusive point.
