If the interest is there, I'd like to host some Lux Survivor games during Luxtoberfest. The concept will be something along these lines:

1.) Each team will consist of no more and no less than 5 players. The more teams that can be created the better, but no new teams will be accepted after October 9th.

2.) All games will be held on a variant of the *gag, retch* Classic *hurl* map (just a different background). All games will be 5,5,5 with a 0% bonus, with picked countries and at least a 1 minute timer ('cos the host needs time to think). Two teams will enter each game in a 3 vs. 3 showdown.

3.) 15 minutes prior to each advertised game start, each team captain should nominate their team, and will then be sent a random mission via PM here on the forums, this mission should of course be kept a secret from the competing team. The first team to complete their mission wins the game. The missions can be completed by individual players, by all or part of their team. The missions will be something along these lines:

Any team that believes they have succeeded in their mission should of course scream and shout violently in the chat to make their point. A full list of missions will be available before October 1st.

4.) As if we didn't have enough running feuds in Lux, each game the winning team will have the opportunity to vote off one member of the losing team, who will no longer be allowed to play.

5.) Teams who lose three games (therefore leaving them with just 2 players) will have one final opportunity to play, but this will be a 3 vs. 2 game. Lose that, the team is history. Win it, you live to fight on but still always just with 2 players.

6.) Games will continue evenly until only one team is left standing. This team will be declared the 2006 Lux Survivor champions, and be awarded a virtual chunk of wood for their efforts.

7.) In keeping with the series, team members who are voted off might have a chance to compete to be reinstated into their teams...but details of this will are of course top-secret Wink

If a mapmaker with mad skillz (*cough*SunTzu*cough) has time and it looking for a luxtoberfest idea, I think a game of capture the flag would be cool. It'd be goal-based, like Preach's idea, but it'd be all about capturing the other team's goal.

I'd imagine a playground layout, with different obstacles and sneakarounds (e.g crawl through the drainpipe to near the flag). Just a thought...

GK, just to clarify - these teams are for the duration of Lux Survivor only, they are not meant to interfere with any of the other team exercises...

Looks like we have at least 2 two teams, probably 3 - those that posted their interest here should of course feel free to contact one another via PM and arrange things - all I need is a final member list for each team.

For the sake of keeping things simple, I'll assign team colours and names (just something boring like Team North, Green - Team East, Red etc.) nearer the time...

The second group should of course do their best to try and form teams amongst themselves, or wait a while to see if there are more interested parties. We have at least 4 teams by the look of it though, probably more so it looks like we're on!

The missions are still to be finalised, but will be based on those I listed earlier - they'll be given out randomly so it's obviously important that they are more or less equal in terms of difficulty, etc. Anyone with any opinions on the missions suggested so far or ideas for new missions, let me know...

IF, I am in that category of Loose Cannons above, and could CHOOSE a team out of that list, it would be with General K, Dominator and Eice. (no offense to others, just the ones i've played with most lately and believe in their styles)...IF they'd ever have me, of course.
