The Balance of Chinese folklore...Like a scale

Where there is light there is darkness
Where there is happiness, there is sadness

Where there is the Semi-Holy church, there is the Anti-Holy Church!

gotta agree with balance, although it depends on the setting. when I'm walking down haight street, even if it's not in association with hippies or something, it has a different meaning. I guess it depends on *my* environment. But overall, yeah, balance.

Balance, most definitely.

Not trying to nitpick, (even though it looks like it). In South Korea, the Taeguk symbol is typically portrayed without the dots in red (yang, or heaven) and blue (yin, or earth), running horizontally. As for the rest of the flag, if your curious, the four trigrams are:

☰ Force = heaven, spring, east, virtue

☷ Field = earth, summer, west, justice

☲ Radience = sun, fall, south, courtesy

☵ Gorge = moon, winter, north, knowledge or wisdom

I had to take many written tests in Korean history under (Eternal Grand) Master HU Lee when I was in Tae Kwon Do many moons ago, figured I'd expand on the subject.

...mbauer? No, he used to play Lux, but he hasn't been around for a long time. He was a mod in the forums, but then he sort of... disappeared. In fact, I think he was eaten by spiders. Well, that's what I heard.

What?

He posted in this topic? No way. The devil, you say.

The Yin/Yang symbol represents Eastern (e.g., Chinese) spirituality - the harmonious balance of good and evil, light and dark, male and female, waves and particles, less filling and tastes great... all of the duality of nature.

Why do you ask, O mighty Creator?

Well, I had suggested that a yin-yang be incorporated into some graphics in Ancient Lux. Stoopid MB said he associated it with "80's surfers and tie dyed t-shirts" and went on strike (not really). The poll pretty much confirms he is mistaken.

Despite his evil-doer ways I managed to sneak a yin-yang into AEL somewhere. Kudos to you if you find it.

I never said I was a truck, can't you read?

And Almighty Quasar, with all due respect, how does 22 people NOT associating it with ancient times compared to a measly 7 who do constitute as a "mbauer was wrong?" hmmmmmmm?

7 for me, vs 4 for you. Ancient times beats out tie-died 80's surfers.
