I noticed that last year there was a lux fantasy baseball league... I joined the community a little too late for last years league, so I thought I would start a league for this year and see if anyone was interested in playing...
So just post here if you want to play...if there are enough people interested ill start a league and pm you the information to join

so far we have 7 people...im not sure how sco
its going to be a yahoo league and ill pm everyone the information to join...
12 will be the maximum amount of people and the draft time will be subject to change... so far we have 7 people...and im not sure how scoring will be done, but it will be subject to change as well...

Assuming it's a real question, and knowing your not in the US, no, there are no cheerleaders at MLB games. if you ever get a chance to go to a Red Sox / Yankee game, you'll get all the chearin you'll ever need from the fans. (not erou soccer crazy, but nuts none the less!!!)
Yahoo is fine with me. Simpler the better. |

Draft Time is TUESDAY MARCH 13 8:00 EST
Stat Categories are as follows...
Hitting- Runs, RBI, HR, AVG, SB
Pitching- Wins, Saves, ERA, K, WHIP (Walks/Hits per IP)
And if we get 12 teams we could set up two leagues...

good call on doing head-to-head. last season, I think aqua, jimski, and I were the only people that logged in after the allstar break...
PS - since jimski stole my crown st00pid jimski in the last week last season, can you save a spot for him for the time being? I need revenge.  I'll pm him to check in on this thread...

I'll join, but probably can't support the live draft. I think Yahoo let's me set just my team on auto pick... if that's ok with the group. That way if I lose, I have an excuse and if I win, I can rub it in Hoodie's face.

Japan has paid BIG TIME into the Red Sox / Yankees rivalry this year with 2 top players on each team. The 26 games (plus post season - ha!) will be live on network TV here and already we get daily reports on the Florida training camps and form of the 4 players.
This is the year that MLB really takes off in Japan I think, until now all the hype has been around the individual Japanese players like Ichiro, but the intensity of the Red Sox / Yankees games will bring an extra dimension now.
The real question, though, is this: will the MLB allow one/two Japanese franchise teams to join, as that clearly is the long-term aim? |

I personally prefer live draft...but it could be tough to schedual a time for everyone
what do you think? Live draft or Auto draft?? or possibly an offline draft done in the forums??????? |

@ Niet - Personally, I don't think it'll happen anytime soon, but you're right as far as the ultimate goal. I think thats the whole point of the new World Baseball Classic (which I throughly enjoyed).
