ESPN correspondent - Luxtopia, Sep 3rd 2007:

After being postponed, a press Conference was held today in the presence of Lux Quasar His Highness Dustin the Great, General K the founder of the Luxfootballmap association declared the re-organization of the first Luxtober Football World Cup 07.

The event will be officially part of Luxtoberfest, during which teams from all over the world will compete to win the World Cup.

A Brochure was distributed to the attendance explaining the rules and regulations of the historic event:

1 - teams from the 4 corners of the world will be competing.
2 - Each team will consist of 5 players (3 main and 2 substitutes)
3 - A captain needs to represent his team before the game
4 - Before the game starts the players of the 2 competing teams will have to answer a quiz. The fastest to answer will allow his team the start advantage.
5 - The competition will only be in Lux Soccer Team Play map/stadium.
6 - Card values 5,5,5
7 - 3v3 games
8 - Each game period is 15 minutes
9 - The objective is to score as much Goals as possible (check the Soccer Team play map)
10 - After each goal scored the game will reset, and the match will continue with the remaining time.
It means that during the 15 minutes you need to pop the other team's goal as much as possible. Those are the basic rules of football (soccer).
11 - Elimination of other players is allowed, if possible before any goal is scored. Once a goal is scored and since the game will rs, the eliminated player needs to be replaced with a substitute, otherwise the game will continue with 3 v 2 (1 player missing).
12 - The game points are divided as follows: 3 for winning a game, 1 for draw, 0 for losing.
13 - Any team that fails to be properly represented will be considered forfeit from the game.
14 - General K will be the referee and official host and will not be part of any team. (The referee might give yellow cards for warning or red card - ban - for misbehavior, and he is allowed to use CAPS to maintain discipline).
15 - as a referee I am allowed to forfeit a game in case the team members failed to show.
16 - every game will stat at schedule time. in the case of forfeit the next game schedule wont be changed.

6 Teams are formed:

- Team Dragon: Scad - Drifter - pls - Yo daddy - Sylocat
- Team Pouncing Purple Puma: pcristov - Dominator - Ender_Wiggin - Sun Tzu - Archer
- Team pheonix: Golfmannen - Frost - Petty - Nietzsche - Alexander Great
- Team Badger: enjoymoreradio - Schnoober - Grozoth - The - Baden
- Team America: Goten6454 - RCrum - Killercatfish - Legend - MaW1028
- Team Europe: qwert1965 - Djdee - Markwolf - Smondo - trinkett

So the following system will be adopted.
The competition will take place for 1 day.
All 6 teams will compete in a league. so it will be 1 single pool.
Each game won = 3 points
a Tie = 1 point
a loss = 0 points

Each team will have to play 1 game against the remaining 5.
by the end of the day the final 3 games will identify the top 3 in the pool thus the winner of the competition.

Since it seems augustus is long gone, I think he wont be able to be on my team. But I would be more than happy to accept anyone on my team (from the U.S.). Anyone who wants to be on team America just pm me.

So far 3 teams out of 4 are complete (team sphinx still needs to confirm), and 1 team still needs 3 more players.
The list of players who requested to take part is also long, in case remaining teams failed to shape I might display the names randomly into new teams.

After that the identified teams will be randomly spread into pools, and a timetable will be released.
