The player to go first will be SunTzu. Your starting images that must be used in whole or in part are:

Each of you will have 2 jabs. You have 1 day after your opponents jab to post your jab. If anyone fails to jab in the alotted time, they automatically lose. Suntzu you have 1 day from right now to complete and post your first jab. If anyone needs help posting images or sharing files let me know.

Ready!

Fight!

Isn't a return jab supposed to have something to do with the original jab? And hasn't anyone here ever heard of Godwin's Rule of Nazi Analogies? Rolling Eyes

Sorry I just noticed this question. I don't know if it's serious or not but I'll answer anyway.

This is a rather hard thing to judge, but basically you can't create an entirely new image you must use some parts of the last jab. If I were to tie a hard rule to it I'd say: a response jab has to have at least 3 visible elements elements from the previous jab. And it can't be just little tiny elements in the corners, they must be somehwat significant.

So I could have incorporated it better, but in my late night, post-concert, wanting to get things done today haze, I didn't feel like playing with Hitler images. I knew Sun wasn't attempting to be offensive, so I didn't take offense. I kinda wanted to edge away from that ASAP, though.

He even mentioned to me using Herr Scheissehosen as part of the jab, but I imagined Herr Scheissehosen more as a Captain Von Trapp type, maybe Red Baronesque... even I didn't make the connection once the Hitler image came in the second frame and the mustache in the 4th frame.

Like I said, I took no offense, but I like to edge away from that as quickly as possible.

The Herr Scheissehosen bit was just an inside joke with hoodie... albeit too obtuse for anyone to get.

I certainly didn't mean to offend anyone with the Hitler image, but I was under the false impression that most people who post on forums a lot would be familiar with Godwin's Rule. I was inspired when I saw this cartoon last weekend and thought the LuxShoppe would be the ultimate thread war to use it on...

For the record, I have no qualms with hoodie's return jab, I was just poking fun at him for completely changing the subject (although taking it away from Hitler was a smooth move.) He definitely used at least three images from my first jab.

Meh?

This is the 1st I'm hearing of this... I thought the only rule was you were required to make use of the provided images in the assigned timeframe... That jabs could, if wanted, be independent of each other.. That the only reason el t and mb, etc used parts of the other's jabs, were because it was fun for them to do so...

Is this a change from the past? Some unwritten rule everyone just "got" besides me?

jwd feels left out...

Hate to be a pest, but, is there somewhere this can be found written from past Luxshoppes?

Thanks..

Before my granddad fell ill and passed last year, I had hoped to be much more involved in Luxtober 06 activities.... I'd swear that when I was asking about this I got a very different answer.. (ever since... I've had allot of ideas in my head that are not compatible with the real rules, meh, figures..)

Sorry for the misunderstanding.. Brain must be more fried then I thought.

No worries.

Nothing is judged to harshly, so don't worry about it. It's just suppose to be fun and funny. If you use the original images, then chances are you will be within the rules, because the jab before you probably had to use them also. So nobody stress about it.

hoodie and Black Pope get together for a few drinks and to enjoy the scenery at the local pub, Drifter's Bar and Girl.

After watching el toro's famous Harem dance act and Preacherman working the pole in his "No, You Submit!" thong, hoodie turns to Black Pope and says, "Guess what! I had the wierdest dream last night... I was Muhoodie Ali, and I had just knocked out SunTzu, but it wasn't really Sun, it was that bot he made, Defender."

"That doesn't make any sense, " Black Pop replied, "you can't knock out SunTzu by simply hitting a defenseless robot. Then again, your dreams usually don't make sense..."

"Hmm, I see what you mean." hoodied murmured. "I wonder why I dreamt about it. Must have been some subconscious desire to make a name for myself, but since deep down I knew I couldn't do it, I transformed my foe to an empty strawman. I bet this also has some political meanings about George W. Bush... blah, blah, blah"

As hoodie kept rambling on about his dream and what it signified, Black Pope thought to himself, "You know, hoodie's dream reminds me of the worst moment of my life. The day his evil sister walked into my life..."
