Wednesday October 3rd, Tournament of Champions for Veterans
12 AM GMT time / 8 PM Eastern time / 5 PM Pacific
In order to qualify as an Veteran you must have played an online game of Lux on or before October 1st, 2006. So you must have been around longer then 1 year. If you're not a Rookie you qualify.
This TOC will consist of 1-3 rooms (as needed) with only Veterans playing, for a period of 3 hours. It's OK to show up somewhat late to this event and still join in.
The maps played will be Classic Risk, Classic Part Deux, and some olde tyme maps. A mix of card and continent settings will be used, tending towards the old school ways.
Scoring is as follows (for each game):
8 points for 1st place
5 points for 2nd place
4 points for 3rd place
3 points for 4th place
2 points for 5th place
1 point for 6th place
Each person's score will be calculated as (total points / games) with a minimum of 3 games required. If there is a tie then a tie-breaker match will be played to declare the Veteran winner.

Do you just join the room? Never did a tourney before... Will it have a special name like "tournement room"? I know dumb questions, but if you don't ask you won't know.

| There's been a room open since the early morning. Any games played there with 5+ humans count for the tourny. |

PS: Please don't play in 2 tournament rooms at the same time. I reserve the right to disqualify you if I catch anyone doing this. |

eh.
Wife was on the Laptop which had the registration known to the world as "rip". The server running headless servers carries a registration known to the world as "Nymph".
Tried to change the registration of the server to that used by "rip" so I could play as "rip", but it didn't work. And now, I can't even get the headless server to run, as either rip /or/ Nymph. Grumble.
And the UN Wifi setup blocks ports so I can't even play from here.
GRumble. Confusticate and bebother the divels.

It looks like the Vet championship is getting fat. Next year there should be a "Geezer Tournament" for us slower, crankier, older players.

Had class till 6PM, got home at 7, had to eat, finish my luxshoppe, work for skool. By the time I started Lux it was 11PM and there were 16 people there |
