Wednesday October 10th, Memory Lux Tournament
Starts at 12 AM GMT / 8 PM Eastern / 5 PM Pacific time
This tournament will consist of 1 or more rooms playing games with every player having the same color. It will run for about 3 hours, so it's OK to show up a little late and still play.
Scoring is as follows (for each game):
8 points for 1st place
5 points for 2nd place
4 points for 3rd place
3 points for 4th place
2 points for 5th place
1 point for 6th place
Each person's score will be calculated as (total points / games) with a minimum of 3 games required. If there is a tie then a tie-breaker match will be played to declare the winner.

Basically, everyone has exactly the same colour. You will need to use trial and error to place your armies, and try your best to remember not only your own but also other peoples. It's like playing Lux with your eyes shut, in principal. Lots of fun |

3DA's schedule has prevented him from participating in some of the other fun Luxtoberfest things and he wants a medal.
Stay up late, folks. I wanna play! See y'all tonight. |

I shall meet The Wontrob on the field of battle late tonight!!
3DA is reminded of the beginning of an epic poem
`Twas Luxtober, and the slithy toves
Did turtle and asshat in the wabe:
All mimsy were the n00bs,
And the rawwhores outgrabe.
"Beware the Wontrob, my son!
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!
Beware the GeneralK Bird, and shun
The frumious MonsVeneris!"
With Vorpal Sword in Eu
Long time the manxome army he built --
So rested he in FE,
And stood awhile in thought.
And, as in uffish thought he stood,
The Wontrob, with eyes of flame,
Came whiffling through the Alaska Bridge,
And burbled as it came!
One, two! One, two! And through and through
The dice went snicker-snack!
He left it dead, and with its cards
He went galumphing back.
"And, has thou slain the Wontrob?
+90 raw, my beamish boy!
O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!'
He chortled in his joy.
`Twas Luxtober, and the slithy toves
Did turtle and asshat in the wabe;
All mimsy were the n00bs,
And the rawwhores outgrabe.

Nice win, Spidey. You are really racking up the medals this tourney.
I must express my disappointment with not being able to play last night! I was not able to meet The Wontrob on the field of battle. I had a Real Life™ last night: my girlfriend came over and so I had, uhm, things to do.
But congrats to all who played! I would have loved to try it. I'll try to get into the silent game today. |
