The Lux Video Contest, part of Luxtoberfest 5!
Can you create a catchy video that includes Lux gameplay? Submit a video or motion-capture and win fabulous prizes! First prize is $250.
Cutting and editing is allowed, but not required. Adding music and/or voice-over might be a good idea. You may want to speed up gameplay videos.
Enter as many videos as you like. Upload them to YouTube or another website and link them in this thread. Videos must include Lux gameplay and be shorter then 5 minutes.
Deadline for submissions: October 24th.
Winners announced at the award ceremony on October 26th.
To video-capture on Mac OS X, use SnapzProX or Jing.
To video-capture on Windows, use one of these video capture softwares.
Or use a normal video-camera to capture footage of Lux on your computer.

You retain all rights to your video submissions. To win, you're required to make it publicly available online (i.e. on YouTube). Sillysoft will publicize links to the best videos. |

Official first place won't be awarded to a video using copyrighted music (unless you get permission to use it).
You're free to use the American or Ancient Lux music, which you can get here:

Ok, I finished my submission. I had some troubles with the YouTube upload so here is a link to the Flash file for now (it's 9.5 MB so it will probably load quite s-s-slow for all but hi-speed users):

| Awesome work on the videos MB and sasquatch. One note, sasquatch, I kinda wish you had used footage of actual players playing and not bots. I think for the uninitiated, the board moving that fast may be a confusing demonstration of real Lux gameplay. Other than that, though, the video was absolutely spot-on. |

Errr, you probably want to hit "watch in high quality"... there's a link near the lower right corner of the video for that. YouTube's "normal quality" looks like I have my glasses on backwards.
