Luxtoberfest contains the annual Lux Awards. The winners are determined through your votes and will be announced during the award ceremonies on October 26th.
Map Awards (view all the 2008 maps):- Best Random Map Generator
- Best Map of 2008 Overall
and best map in each category:
- Fantasy Realms
- Geographic - Asia/Pacific
- Geographic - Europe
- Geographic - North America
- Geographic - Other
- Geometric Shapes
- Historical
- Space
- World
View all the Maps submitted in 2008 in their categories for review. You can send in a vote for 1 map in each category, or just your 5 favorite maps overall.
People awards:- Best Host
- Most Entertaining Player
- Most Sportsmanlike Player
- Rookie of the Year (2008 rookie list)
- Best Forum Influence
- Hall of Fame - Lifetime Achievement (current inductees)
If you feel that a few people are very deserving of a certain award then you can send in votes for up to 3 players in each category. Votes for yourself will not be counted.
All Luxers are asked to email or PM me their votes sometime during Luxtober.
Alternative Awards: Have an idea for an alternative award category? Feel free to send in votes for your made-up award. You never know...

That rookie list only shows the rookies with the most wins, not every single one. Come out and compete in the rookie tournament if you want to get your name out there as a rookie of the year contender. |

I lobby in chat, forums, and in every day play for the rights of a turtle. I strongly oppose turtle-first tactics and legislation. I believe the turtle is a much more valuable part of the community than a the carding sacrificial lamb or the hopeless suicider.
While in office, I will continue to fight for turtle rights, and continue to pull out games where people mess up their kills. All the while, I will make sure that I do not give anyone a free pass by halfkilling or carding when death is a certainty.

The votes are coming in thick and fast. It looks like it is going to be a hard fought battle for Clown of the Year. Teamer of the year seems to be sown up and worst dice is at 500v120 lose so far.... Get your votes in.
