Friday October 3rd, Tournament of Champions for Veterans
Time: all day long
In order to qualify as a Veteran you must have played an online game of Lux on or before October 1st, 2007. So you must have been around longer then 1 year. If you're not a Rookie you qualify.
This TOC will consist of 1-3 rooms (as needed) with only Veterans playing. You can show up anytime during the day and compete.
The maps played will be Classic Risk, Roman Empire II, Classic Part Deux, and some olde tyme maps.
Scoring is as follows (for each game):
8 points for 1st place
5 points for 2nd place
4 points for 3rd place
3 points for 4th place
2 points for 5th place
1 point for 6th place
Each person's score will be calculated as (total points / games) with a minimum of 3 games required. Only games with 6 humans in it will count towards the score. If there is a tie then a tie-breaker match will be played to declare the Veteran winner.

if you get a winning streak of 3 games to begin with you will have a score of 1 and wont be able to improve it, what is the incentive to keep playing after that ?
oh and im in btw
EDIT: your score will ofcourse be 8 and not 1

Well I hope you're being sarcastic Tide! lol. I definitely got a little lucky. If Newbslaya got another game in, he had a chance to beat me/tie me and if Tigers won one more he won too.
Anyway, it was really fun and I'm lucky to have won. Thanks for the congrats everyone. |

Congratulations all of the big winners!
The day was quite frustrating to me. I got into One Classic game that lasted a long time. I didn't get to play until evening. I went into the Deux room as 4 people were leaving and could not get another game with more than 2 people (including myself) the rest of the night.
sniff
But that classic game was a lot of fun. It was nice seeing people I don't see very often. Especially Eice!! /me throws more peanuts at Eice. |
