Welcome to the 3rd Annual Castle Tournament!
Presented by Snype Entertainment Inc. (A wholly owned subsiduary of the Anti-Holy Church Of Lux)
Welcome back castle tournament members and a greeting to all possible newcomers. This is our 3rd year running this spectacular event and I personally look foward to running it once again. The tournament has a few minor changes for the 2009 year as you will read below. The biggest change is the tournament will be held in January instead of February for the 2009 year due to scheduling conflicts.
TEAMS:
The tournament will consist of 6 teams of 6 people and 1 A.I. so spaces for entries are limited! One member from each kingdom will compete against members from all others in total domination on all castle maps. AI selections will be given in the order of the finishing placement of teams in last years tournament.
THE KINGDOMS:
KINGDOM EARTH
KINGDOM AIR
KINGDOM FIRE
KINGDOM WATER
KINGDOM VIRTUE
KINGDOM BANE
TIMES:
The tournament will run all through out January. The tournament days will be every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday!
Wednesdays: 1:00am (GMT); 8:00pm (EST); 5:00pm (PST); 10:00am (TST)
Saturdays 8:00pm (GMT); 3:00pm (EST); 12:00pm (PST); 5:00am (TST)
Sundays 12:00am (GMT); 7:00pm (EST); 4:00pm (PST); 9:00am (TST)
AT LEAST 1 MEMBER FROM EACH TEAM WILL NEED TO BE PRESENT TO REPRESENT YOUR TEAM!
*Having at least 1 player on opposite hemispheres is always helpful to starting times.
SCORING:
Points will be based similar to Luxtober scoring. Each team will recieve points based on what position they finish in the game.
1st 8pts
2nd 6pts
3rd 4pts
4th 3pts
5th 2pts
6th 1pt
Each indviduals and team totals score will be their gaming AVERAGE.
Scoring equations are as followed for year 2009
Individual Equation (Points/Games)
Team Equation (Sum of teams Points/# of Games)
*Teams configurations can vary based on AI participation.
GAMEPLAY:
* The tournament will be held in a private game enviroment. Tournament members will have to retrieve the games IP addy from the forums in order to join the room. This was decided to prevent outsiders from interfering with the game as much with the typical ( RS!, Can I play?, SnyperEye: GUEST OUT PLEASE!, /boot . ) Those of you who played last year knows what I am refering about. We are going chat debris free this year.
*Prior to entering the game everyone is expected to be on Guest Only and remain as Guest Only until given instructions to unguest by the tournament director.
*The playing order for each game will be the determined by the finishing order of each previous game. The first game order will be the order of the final placing of last years tournament to start off this year.
*The settings for each game will be determined at the start of each tournament day and will change for each day of the tournament. (This includes card values, turn time, continent increases, and maps will be choosen at random.
*All teams should have at least 1 person from their team present to start the tournament. The first 3 games are mandatory! a 3min grace period will be given to the occasionally running late players for the 1st game only. After the first 3 games, games can and will only continue as long as 4 out of 6 teams are present where as the non present teams will be forced to use their AI.
*For any reason if a players needs to leave early or control is lost their selected AI will gain control of the game.
*All Players will be expected to follow all rules and the COC during tournament times. Failure to abide by these rules can result in penalties and/or ejection from the tournament.
REQUIREMENTS:
Each player must successfully complete at least 5 GAMES total from any of the Castle Lux series...
Nuclear Vox-Zenith City (New Map Debut)
Castle Lux MP (newly Added)
Castle Infinity
Castle Lux SI
Castle Lux Merchants
Castle Lux The Battle for Bamburgh
Castle Lux The Last King
Siege Lux
Castles Scotland
River Castles has been removed from the tournament (2009)
Castle USA has been removed from the tournament (2008)
Failure to complete this requirement by the end of the tournament will result in Disqualification for the player and a penalty on the teams final total. Choosing your teammates based on dedication would be key. (EXCEPT AI)
Each team is also required to play a minimum of 3 games for each of the tournament dates. If a team member is a no show in a 30 min grace period after game time an already designated AI will play in place of your team.
THE PRIZE GIVEAWAYS
Each member of the winning team will be recognized by Lux with a castle tournament medal on their rankings page and recieve an Apple IPod Nano digital player compliments of Snype Entertainment Inc. The Grand Prize has been revamped to benefit the saying "play as a team, win as a team" with that said No Grand Prize will be rewared to an MVP but the whole team instead. Winning team memebers must successfully completed all tournament Requirements to claim winnings.
REGISTRATION:
Because of limited spaces available the castle tournament will grandfather all previous tournament members. A list of existing castle tournament members will be posted. These players have first choice on open seats this year. Pre-Enrollment for returning players will take place now until Dec. 12 followed by Open Enrollment which will be announced.

Returning members will have choice on which Kingdom they wish to play for. Most members will most likely stick with their old kingdom but Im sure a few will jump ship and join other Kingdoms.
Open-Enrollment of New-comers will not be as lucky to have choice. As they will have to go through a "PLEDGE" Process. Basically understanding the Code of conduct of this Tournament. |
