Well, dang. I'm gonna hop in under one condition. Then I have two suggestions.

The condition is people be good to each other this year, eh? Castle is fun but really there was a lot of hostility all around, myself included. Same thing the year before.

The first suggestion is that all bots are set to an agreed upon choice. I'm guessing everyone would want Reaper. There's just such a big discrepancy in bots and Reaper (or Nef) would actually provide good competition rather than a rollover.

The second suggestion is that if someone leaves, the bot must take over, not a teammate. I think this was a problem two years ago and not last year, but it'd be good to lay down the rules to avoid any mid-game snafus, especially in marathons.

Actually, I'm a big fan of Trotsky if we can't get Reaper or BoD. Though I remember we tried to use Chimera last year to ghost Reaper. Very Happy

Just an additional rule I've been thinking of implementing...

*I have been pondering on a marathon prevention rule but I havent decided wether it would work out yet by having a time limit of 60mins set on the games. Should a game hit the 60min mark all remaining living players would be took over by their represnted AI's. Bots being automated thinkers and alot faster would end the game quickly. The only flaw I think may occur is players that are close to dead may try to milk the time given a slight chance to survive against and all bot situation.

A new section as been added into the Tournament Info.

GAMEPLAY

* The tournament will be held in a private game enviroment. Tournament members will have to retrieve the games IP addy from the forums in order to join the room. This was decided to prevent outsiders from interfering with the game as much with the typical ( RS!, Can I play?, SnyperEye: GUEST OUT PLEASE!, /boot . ) Those of you who played last year knows what I am refering about. We are going chat debris free this year.

*Prior to entering the game everyone is expected to be on Guest Only and remain as Guest Only until given instructions to unguest by the tournament director.

*The playing order for each game will be the determined by the finishing order of each previous game. The first game order will be the order of the final placing of last years tournament to start off this year.

*The settings for each game will be determined at the start of each tournament day and will change for each day of the tournament. (This includes card values, turn time, continent increases, and maps will be choosen at random.

*All teams should have at least 1 person from their team present to start the tournament. The first 3 games are mandatory! a 30min grace period will be given to the occasionally running late players for the 1st game only. After the first 3 games, games can and will only continue as long as 4 out of 6 teams are present where as the non present teams will be forced to use their AI.

*For any reason if a players needs to leave early or control is lost their selected AI will gain control of the game.

*All Players will be expected to follow all rules and the COC during tournament times. Failure to abide by these rules can result in penalties and/or ejection from the tournament.

OK, So at this point I have placed all returning players on a the indicated teams, If I was not sure on the exact team you were going to play for I placed you on the team you played on last year.

Let me know if there are any changes I did not catch.

CASTLE TOURNAMENT CODE OF CONDUCT

The Castle Tournament is a well mannered and respectful enviroment for our members. Professionalism at its best. The games are quite diffrent than those you play regularly to which I will strive to make sure the following standards are met by all our members.

1. All instructions given by the tournament director are to be followed to allow quick and easy transitions between games.

2. The tournament does not allow for any forms of discrimination.

3. The tournament does not allow the use of ANY profanity.

4. The tournament does not allow verbal personal attacks

5. The conduct to which everyone should be showing is RESPECT no matter the outcome.

6. The tournament director has final ruling over any matter.
