Llama, Sheep or Wolf

Post by Naraku » Sat May 09, 2009 3:55 pm

Welcome fellow luxers to a new forum game

UPDATE: GAME STARTS ON MAY 26 10a.m. The prize for the winners is a trophy for their rankings page.

In this game there are 3 groups of players, the Llama's, the Sheep, and the wolves.
The objective is different depending on your "faction".

For the Wolves the object is simple eat all the llama's and sheep that they can. They can work together or they can go solo, In order for a wolf to kill a Llama he has to have 1 other wolf help him to take down the protectors of the flock. In order for a wolf to kill a sheep they must be in the same part of the pasture or at least one tile adjacent to them. Every night the Wolves will pick a sheep to try to eat. I'll post the results in the forum at Daybreak of any deaths, attacks or saves.

For the Llama's they must detect and remove the wolves from the flock before they eat all the sheep, or Llamas. The Llamas also have the added ability to guard a sheep during the night to protect them from wolf attack. if more than one llama gaurds the same sheep that is attacked by wolves, the wolves are "discovered" or chased away from the flock.

The sheep are wandering aimlessly through the green Pastures trying to stay alive and discover who is a llama, sheep or wolf. Dreams will help the sheep to steer clear of bad wolves and stay near the llama's. Everyone Votes once a day for who will be the sacrifical sheep or the "wolf in sheeps" clothing.

Day will run 12 hours, 10am(Est) every day is daybreak. 10pm(Est) is nightfall, every 12 hours. No matter what. I will be updating the game as soon as the appointed hours draw near. During the Day all the sheep vote on who the shepard will pluck and sheer from the flock. During the Night all sheep are asleep. Llama's are gaurding the sheep of their choice. Which will be pm'd to me. Wolves will be trying to eat a sheep or a pack of at least 2 wolves to eat a Llama. Wolves will pm their votes for snacks to me.

There will be a location map for every day showing which part of the pasture the sheep are wandering in. Sheep can move 2 tile per day, Wolves can move 3 tiles per day, Llama's can move 3 tiles per day. It will show the location of dead sheep or when a Llama has been taken down by a wolf pack. So who can you trust? The wolves are going to be sneaky and sneaking around in Sheeps clothing, the Llama's can disquise themselves as a sheep or keep their natural form, this must be decided at the start of game. When disquised as a sheep it only takes one wolf to take out a Llama

The Sheepherd gathered the flock of sheep to him and they all migrated across the plains so they could live peacefully in the valley of the Sheepherd. While they traveled Luxtopia they picked up a few more lost sheep that had no home or place to go. The total number of sheep thus far collected stood at fifteen. Whilst they were traveling the sheepherd noticed there were a few strangers to the flock. Some were wolves, others were friendly Llama's playing dress up. Less than seven days travel until the flock could settle into their new home. Every night during the journey the Sheepherd kept a watchful eye for any lost sheep or straglers still wanting to join the flock.

After a weeks voyage the shepard settled his flock of Llama, Sheep & Wolves into their new home. Thus far he counted at least 4 wolves that had snuck in. He also knew there were Llama's among the sheep but he couldn't tell how many. In all he counted 19 among the number of his flock. He opened the gates to the pastures and let the sheep wander & migrate wherever their hearts desire took them. Trying to keep a watchful eye on all the sheep, & trying to help the sheep spot the wolves...

(Wander anywhere you want to on the map just post it in the thread or if you prefer you can pm your movements on the map.)

Sheep can move 2 tiles per day, Wolves CAN move 3 tiles per day, Llama's CAN move 3 tiles per day.

Game officially starts @ 10 a.m. Tommorrow morning Tuesday May 26th. Sheep keep your eyes peeled to your inbox for any incoming dreams or hints.

Day 1 - Sheep playday!

Post by Naraku » Tue May 26, 2009 10:00 am

Dawn breaks over the pastures and meadows

Day 1 - The Shepard gathers around all the sheep and does his final count before opening the gates for the sheep to play. When exiting the field the shepard stops all the sheep to give them some cotton candy from his Cottoncandy machine. He then tells everyone "The wolves of the flock number at least 4 perhaps more. I can't find them all by myself so I need all the sheep to keep open ears & eyes to uncover their disguises. Everyone will meet back here at Dusk to turn in their votes [BEFORE 10.P.M. (EST).] . So go frolic in the fields, go play in the sun, just be sure to find the wolves before you are done." After giving all the sheep their share of cotton candy for the day the Shepard is seen walking back into his house to try to figure out which sheep he would be sheering when the sun set...

Llama's pm me and let me know if you wish to be Llamas disguised as a sheep or if you prefer to be a Llama in plain clothing. During daytime hours all "sheep" vote on who they think is a suspected Wolf. During the Night Llama's and Wolves will pm their choices for guards or snack requests. Also moves happen ONCE per day. you do not have to move your maximum travel rate if you don't want to.

P.S. (EST) = Eastern Standard Time. I'll be sure to code it to GMT next time. Sorry for any confusion.

I would like to move from Mount Odelay to Green Pastures. I feel vulnerable all alone. A wolf could easily pick me off, and there are no llamas here as there are no other players here.

Also, I did not play cry wolf. How do we know in this early stage who to vote for? My question is directed at the other sheep. I am not asking our wonderful host...who of course has inside info.
