Wednesday October 7th, Silent Lux Tournament

Time: all day long

This tournament will consist of a few different FEST rooms playing games with no chat. You can show up any time during the day and play.

Scoring is as follows (for each game):
8 points for 1st place
5 points for 2nd place
4 points for 3rd place
3 points for 4th place
2 points for 5th place
1 point for 6th place

Each person's score will be calculated as (total points / games) + (games * 0.1) with a minimum of 3 games required, and a maximum of 20 games adding extra.

Games with 5 or more humans count.

Only the first nickname you start competing under will be counted in any Luxtoberfest tournament.

I was just wondering why not put up more than one of a room I know that Bio is at 12 people guested in right now... It's not like they really care about who is in them... since it's silent...

As it was a silent room I never got a chance to thank Mentor09 for his 2nd place move of his which cost me at least a point and what would have been a runners up or maybe even share of the winners position.

Anyway enough of that just annoyed as I'm off on holiday and that was probably my last chance at a medal in my Rookie year. Rookie mistake booking holiday during Luxtoberfest I know.

I thought the silent games were a lot of fun.

Hosts take note: you can enable silent mode in your room with the /setsilent command!

Enter it again to turn it back off.

In the tournament, lux would still show "X has put Y on mute" messages. This was kind of fun, as a way to poke people still without talking. Question for you: should these messages show in silent mode, or should they be hidden also?

Keep the /mute feature showing, Its nice to know when a friendly luxer recognizes you and does absolutely nothing to disrupt the game -- unless someone just spams the /mute feature, but such persons can always be megamuted and I don't think anyone would really waste their time muting someone w/o being able to get a response.

yeah great, mega muting... how often do you join a room and the real host is there? not often only fill in hosts which can't mega mute. Besides i think a megamute will still allow you to /mute someone
