Having played for most of the this Sunday, and given the fact that I'm not one of the better players here, I am still disappointed with the game play I saw. Most of the chase occurred on Bio and IMHO the strategy was SNAFU.

I saw people miss winning moves (myself included) sometime multiple times in the same game. But worse, it seemed like people were playing Bio as if it was Classic. Farming makes sense in Classic, and to an EXTENT it makes sense in Bio, but I was seeing Russian Countries worth 9 income standing with 1 or 2 on the border, Africa with one border surviving with 3 etc. etc.

But the worst was the turtling. People were turtling without looking at the map, and I watched opportunity by opportunity fly out the window--whether it was a case where the troop leader was able to win because his undefended backdoor was never touched by a turtle, or whether someone who should have won the game was turtling, or even worse, I had to sit through 1/2 of a game with ALL 6 PLAYERS TURTLING before a 2-minute shitstorm at the end of the timer, followed by a restart.

We need to BUILD A TURTLE FENCE Sure, it's a good move to turtle sometimes, but you NEED to keep track of the game, as sometimes your opportunity shows up to either win, or at least keep the game in play instead of rolling over and waiting to die.

While I've actually never really "chased" before this month, I have to say I found the experience distasteful as it turned what was a fun pastime for me into a stressful, frustrating afternoon. Sad
