Here's my analysis of the numbers:

The High Seeds TOC was limited to high ranked players. It's no surprise that players who spend time working on their rank showed up for the tournament, and an extra room was opened at the last minute to accommodate the demand.

The Rookies TOC was jam-packed! There are lots of new Lux players.

The Veterans TOC was impacted by my arbitrary choice of cut-off date for qualifying as an "old timer". There was a pretty good turn-out, but the fact of the matter is that many old time players are not around much anymore.

The Ladies TOC had a pretty bad turn-out, which was somewhat expected. We should continue to be nice to the gals that are around, and encourage more to join.

The Asia-Pacific TOC didn't happen due to lack of players. Lux has not made big inroads into the Asian market.

The European TOC had a pretty good turn-out, and included players from a number of different countries. There's a solid contingent of European players who like their Luxing.

The Americas TOC had a bumper crop. The majority of players (around 70%) are from North America, so this was no surprise.

Twitch Weekend had a huge turnout over the 2 days. People like playing Lux on a fast timer, and there should probably be a twitch host running most of the time.

Lux Survivor was operated differently from the other events, requiring more co-ordination of players and times. Experience shows that it's always dicey expecting certain people to show up together. The tourney got rave reviews from those that participated though. People like playing with missions.

The map nights were all well represented. We played tons of great maps, so no surprise there.

Memory Lux got a solid turn-out, as confusing as it is. I think once a year is enough Memory Lux. Maybe twice.

Arrrrr! Ye piratey battles was full o' scurvy sea dogs!

Team Play weekend had a large and constant turn-out over the 2 days. It looks like there might be some regular team events throughout the year.

The 555 competition had a solid turn-out, but only managed to play 10 games. 555 games just take too long.

The Award Ceremonies set a new Lux record for the most number of people in a room at once: 45. It's possible there was a few more then that at one point, but I was busy officiating so couldn't be constantly checking. Lots of people were coming and going, so in total there were probably 50+ people in attendance.

Huzzah!
