A young man from Macedonia, having taken control of the union of Greek city states 5 years earlier, marched in the year 330BC to spread the boarders of the Hellenic Empire and defeat, their century old rival, the Persian Empire. Before his death at the age of 33, on June 10 of the year 323 BC, he had marched victoriously through most of the known world at the time. Asides crushing the Persian Empire, his conquests included Anatolia, Syria, Phoenicia, Judea, Gaza, Egypt, Bactria and Mesopotamia, and had extended the boundaries of his own empire as far as Punjab, India. This young man, Alexander III of Macedon, was the first king ever to be called the Great. Do you have what it takes rival Alexander’s conquests?
