For decades the rogue Barbary States have been padding their bank accounts with the ludicrous ransoms extorted from the major maritime powers of the world. America has been forced to pay tribute to the Barbary rulers in exchange for passage through the Mediterranean and access to the rich trade routes of the east. Now, the Pirates are getting greedy and have upped their already exorbitant ransom. The year is 1801, the day of Jefferson's inauguration, Tripoli has just demanded payment of $225,000! The normally pacifist Jefferson is enraged and has dispatched the American Navy along with a detachment of Marines to finally settle the score and show these pirates that there's a new boss in town. America's first MidEast war has begun! From the halls of Montezuma to the Shores of Tripoli, fight for what is rightfully yours!
