Texas Map

This is a map of the present-day state of Texas, with 95 "counties" (simplified and redrawn from the 254 rather grid-like counties of real Texas; gameplay is more important than accuracy) and 25 metropolitan areas. Full control of a metropolitan area is worth bonus points equal to the number of "counties" in it: this ranges from 1 to 6. Note that the eastern part of the map is more valuable than the west, being more urban. Even with the reduced number of counties, the map is somewhat cluttered; you may wish to turn off "Show army graphics" in your preferences. Besides, any war fought over modern Texas would more likely be metaphorical--a war of culture, ideas, or market share--than physical. Created by Evan Williams. Version 1.0 released February 16, 2007.
