The major powers of Europe; Austria, Prussia, Great Britain, Spain, Piedmont; feared the rise of France. They banded together in the 1st Coalition. There aim was to destroy the French Revolution and preserve the monarchies of Europe.
This map encourages historical coalitions against France. France is immediately strong, with Paris alone being worth 10 armies.
Great Britain played a supporting role, using allied ports. England is connected one-way to The Netherlands, Lisbon, and Corsica.

 | Booth's Great Escape version 1.5 rated 2.8 (64 votes) by RandomGuy | Friday, April 14, 1865.
John Wilkes Booth has just shot President Lincoln at Ford's Theater in Washington D.C. Jumping from the presidential balcony, he shouts "Sic Semper Tyrannis" before fleeing out a back alleyway to a waiting horse.
In the commotion, Booth escaped capture and made it across the Navy Yard Bridge into Maryland. He received weapons at supplies at Mary Surratt's Tavern before continuing on to the house of Dr. Samuel Mudd. Dr. Mudd sets a broken leg Booth suffered in the leap to the stage and lets the men rest at his home.
Later, they continue south toward Virginia, gaining assistance from Oswell Swann, Samuel Cox and William Lucas along the way.
The union cavalry finally caught up with Booth at Garrett's Farm where he had holed up in the barn.
Now is your chance to rewrite history! Can you gather enough support from the Southern sympathizers to storm back and take Washington? Sic Semper Tyrannis!
Player 1: John Wilkes Booth (and co-conspirator David Herold)
Player 2: Union Soldiers (16th New York Cavalry Regiment)

 | Cold War version 1.7 rated 2.8 (64 votes) by JGrajek | Cold war map with a different perspective. A you can see the map is from the North Pole view. There are 2 Two ICBM Subs. The dark dotted line that runs through the North Pole divides the hemispheres that the ICBMs can attack. There are lines showing how to take control of the ICBMs. 2 for each. The are 3 airfields. See the map for details on attacks. Airfields can attack ICBM submarines. Only countries that touch airfields can attack airfields and reinforce airfield countries.
There is also a break out map of the European countries. You can click through either one, depending on your eyesight/resolution. Hope you enjoy.

 | Galaxy Conquest version 1.2 rated 2.8 (41 votes) by Nimrod7 | The Zeta backed separatists of Delta1 have interrupted the supply of Nitrinium17 to the Eta and Gamma galaxies. | The Second Civil War version 1.2 rated 2.8 (41 votes) by Neko & Sylocat | In the year 2012, the two-party system finally ripped the United States apart, and it divided into two camps, the liberals and conservatives.
Washington DC stands deserted and ablaze. Travel through the country has become hard during wartime; only a few passages through the Rockies, the Appalachians and the Ozarks are passable, and only a handful of bridges across the Mississippi river remain intact. Air travel is impossible.
What's more, various foreign powers, recognizing the effect this could have on the world's power balance, rush in to shift the scales of battle. Some powers want one side or the other to win, while others hope to cause both sides to lose so they can take over on their own.
Canada moves in from the north, while Mexico creates breaches in the border fence at New Mexico and Baja. China and Korea move in on the right flank while Russia moves from the north. The UK moves to defend its allies while the Middle East explodes in rage.
Who will win? Who will decide the future of the free world? Only you can decide that.
NOTES:
—The starting scenario is best played with players one and two on one team, players three and four on another team, and players five and six on a third team.
—We didn't actually intend for this to look quite as similar to U. S. A. War Zone as it wound up looking. Neko didn't even know Lux existed when he came up with this idea, honest! |

 | Scientia Fabula version 1.1 rated 2.8 (40 votes) by Deane Morris | Scientia Fabula
Nearly 7000 years ago, spanning what we now call the Aegean and Ionian Seas, there thrived an advanced civilization, that in a span of some 500 years had developed technology we today have only dreamed of in science fiction.
Their matriarchy, uninterested in the conquest and control of her neighbors, instead continually developed her immense capital with the most brilliant minds and technological advancements. As the nucleus of her empire grew, the periphery eventually faded away, until all that was left was one great mountainous city.
Some say this city was lost to the sea in a cataclysmic flood, or meteorite hit, others say the city wondrously rose above the clouds into the heavens.
Some call it Mount Olympus, some call it Atlantis, but all we do know about this reclusive civilization is what has been passed to us through time, in story, song and legend.
It is said they had a great and shiny arena, bricked of glass and mortared with colorful light. It is there they would play games of strategy and wit, never in hate or for spite. |
