Christmas Trivia Game
version 1.0
rated 2.7 (48 votes)
by Kartofile

A matching game based on Christmas trivia. When you correctly match a pair of "countries" you win two bonus armies. Use the starting scenario instead of random startup to ensure that no player begins with an unfair advantage from matches among their randomly assigned countries.

Best played with army graphics off. If an army blocks some text, just move your cursor over the country so that its name pops up. Merry Christmas from your mapmakers!

The Clam Isles
version 1.0
rated 2.7 (47 votes)
by Ted The Bug

The Final Clam Wars Map
Once again, the clams are under attack. Oy vay. Anyhoo, this time its really bad, the capitol of the nation of Clam itself is under attack from the barbarians from the North, and the Baxtorians from the South. Ouch. The Great Clam has let you command the armies, despite the fact that you look, well, like a human. Hurry up, get going, what are you waiting for, and will you give me a dollar? Well? HUH?

New York City 1850
version 1.6
rated 2.7 (47 votes)
by Christopher Leary

In 1850, New York City had a population of almost 700,000. Population nearly doubled within the next ten years. Conquer as much investment property (ie each neighborhood) as possible to cash in on the population boom.

rated 2.7 (45 votes)
by Yvon Tripper

Students fight to get in; now you can fight to conquer it! McGill University campus is the battleground, where administration battles the arts and science faculties, grad students, athletes and student housing.

Washington State
version 1.2
rated 2.7 (42 votes)
by pudge

Welcome to Washington, the 42d state of the Union. Power in Washington is consolidated primarily in a corridor east of Puget Sound and west of the Cascade mountain range, with its easy access to shipping and mild, though wet, weather. In the center of this region lies King County, and its primary attraction, Seattle, which contains a large number of the state’s inhabitants. If you are not in King County, winning the state may prove to be an insurmountable task …

Chat Log!!
version 1.3
rated 2.7 (26 votes)
by Milltycoon

What do you mean, we all talk too much? I know I do. This map depicts a typical Chat Log in a Classic Part Deux game. The black lines are pathways between lines of dialogue, and all consecutive lines of dialogue connect, though there are some split "continents".
This is my 6th map, hand-drawn as always. The background picture is from "http://www.psdgraphics.com/file/world-globe.jpg".
I hope you enjoy it, and that it leads to many future chat log conversations.

Quartiers de Paris et Banlieue
version 1.3
rated 2.7 (22 votes)
by Charlie Lebreton

Fight to control Paris and the close suburbian towns !

Initial Vanity
version 1.2
rated 2.7 (20 votes)
by Rick James

Pretty basic, two continenets based on one letter each.
Player 1 and 3 start off with about 320 countries, each with 6 armies; while players 2, 4, 5 and 6 start off with 3 clustered countries at 401 armies each. While no one starts off with their own continent, players 1 and 3 spots have the advantage of large amounts of countries and thus turn based army generations.

Dollar Puzzle
version 1.0
rated 2.7 (20 votes)
by Jurwitz

Where have all the dollars gone? Long time memory..
They are spread in a world wide web of hedge funds, derivatives, tax havens.. a giant puzzle of dark financial business, most of whose tesserae are hidden to the public eye.

Where have all the dollars gone? Not in our pockets, anyway..
When will we ever learn? Never, forget it. We may as well get over with a dollar-looking Lux game.

Starting scenario for 6 players. Hope Bob Dylan can forgive me.

Psychotic Earth
version 1.0
rated 2.7 (20 votes)
by Milltycoon

A version of Classic, as might be rended by someone with several psychotic spatial and cognitive disorders. Hand drawn as usual. My 7th map for Lux.

The background image is from: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Cloth_embroidered_by_a_schizophrenia_sufferer.jpg

Brandenburg

Map of Brandenburg with all Parts of it, free cities and Berlin.

The Ten Throne Rooms
version 1.0
rated 2.7 (7 votes)
by MillTycoon

The kingdoms of the Consortium of Veitzrumm had seen far too many revolutionary overthrows over the past 6 decades. Fearing both their neighbors and their own subjects, the ten monarchs finally held a conference about mutual security. Their solution was drastic but necessary: building each castle's throne room inside the walls of an enemy castle, to ensure insularity from trouble in one's own castle, and the mutual threat of danger to anyone's king if their subjects revolted against another king.

Extreme Great Britain
version 1.04
rated 2.6 (108 votes)
by Lupus Ferox

Extreme Lux - Battle of Great Britain

More than 500 countries! Dozens of continents! Lux to the limit!

Britain in turmoil! The financial crisis, the war in Iraq, new attacks by the IRA in Northern Ireland, the decreasing appreciation of the Royal family.... The United Kingdom is breaking into pieces. The Scotts are about to join the Euro, Northern Ireland wants to reunite with Ireland, Wales wants total independency. England is falling apart. The Royal Army starts attacking rebelling forces in the regions resulting in a total collapse!

Try to reunite Britain....

This map is so large that two problems may occur: the bot's don't understand it and play foolishly (especially in the beginning), human players are just outrun by the bots in the end game. I fiddled around a bit and found the following settings (preferences) and bots the most entertaining:

Prefs: -Computer player speed: fastest
-Country border width: thinnest
Game options: -Use cards
-Transfer cards to conquering player
-card sequence: 5, 10, 15...
-Continent bonuses go up 20% every round
-Turn time limit 50 seconds (with touchpad, 40 secs for mouse)
Use this bot mix: Cluster, Angry, Reaper, EvilPixie and Tactobot

I win about every second game now, which is okay for botgames....

version 1.4
rated 2.6 (50 votes)
by ServalCat

Year 6319. Mars has been terraformed over the last 3000 years and is now ready for human inhabitance. The land area is divided up into countries which quickly fill up with people and technology from Earth.

Year 6368. Saphhire Peninsula, in the northern hemisphere of Mars and over to the east, has asserted itself as the dominant superpower of the planet, under the peaceful and prosperous reign of Borack Ubuma, first Tyglian-Sapphirian president of the country. However, during a visit to the Republic of Hyguilia, a country in the midst of a politically unstable era, he is assassinated and Sapphire Peninsula is set back in the middle of such a glorious era. The Hyguilian-Ghastanian alliance takes advantage of this and launches an attack on the country, landing on the island of New Sardinia and quickly taking the rest of the Tropic Counties and Insterdier Island. The Sapphirian government is forced back into the two main cities of Lionsgate and Meteor, and must try to regain the country through force. The nation's population is divided into multiple factions who set up defensive perimeters along the county borders and duke it out, trying to take more land. To make things even more complicated, the neighbouring country of Tyderia has sent troops into Sapphire Peninsula in an attempt to stave off the enemy but have divided into two factions, with the second trying to take over the country for their own purposes. Can you take control of one of these factions and unite or destroy Sapphire Peninsula for good?

by Neil Melville

City Network: Northern Hemisphere

Each zone represents a major land based air strike facility. The density of the network prevents slipping past a neighbor's airspace. Your goal: Control the entire network of major cities.

Using cities instead of countries means uniform control node shapes. This abstracted strategic map comes in a specific real world layout. Polar projection avoids attacking off the edge of the map.

54 cities in 9 "continents"
map dimensions: 900 wide by 625 pixels
