 | Mafia - The Sicilian Connection version 1.1 rated 3.5 (72 votes) by General K | Sicily, the motherland of the Cosa Nostra. A beautiful island in the Mediterranean Sea infested with unlimited series of vendettas, crimes and assassinations. The clans that rule the island are fighting still to control it. Fight your opponent and dare to "make him an offer he can't refuse"!
Recommended with Martini and the “Godfather II” musical score.
This map is part of the Lux - “Mafia” sequel. |

Learn science and play Lux at the same time! This is a map which requires you to turn your mind onto 3D Mode, or else!
As with all my maps, recommended settings are Army Graphics Off and Country Borders set to minimum size. Have fun! |

 | Rivers version 1.1 rated 3.5 (67 votes) by JohnO | Rivers - the prototype for TheConfluence, and as it turns out, a bit more challenging to play. Smaller, tighter, less forgiving of inattention. The bots tend to gang up more on you.
There will be a temptation to start with the center island, or grab the small 2 country island, for quick bonus armies. The bots will be similarly tempted.

 | Fort Ticonderoga version 1.02 rated 3.5 (62 votes) by Shane Hunter | The Capture of Fort Ticonderoga. In 1775 a battle was waged for control of Fort Ticonderoga, a British held Fort on the shores of Lake Champlain in New York. It took Ethan Allen one evening with zero casualties and a demand of surrender. Be careful of the Forts ability to run night ops and attack the North Battlefield from the rear. Or maybe you will find an advantage in running your own ops and locating the small breach in the eastern wall by way of the Gate Path. |

 | Theatrum Historicum II--The Ancient World version 1.1 rated 3.5 (56 votes) by Daniel Myers | Theatrum Historicum (literally, Historic Theater) is a map covering Europe, North Africa, and West Asia. Based on a map in David Rumsey's map collection, this board provides a good base for historical scenarios. This map has the same territories as Theatrum Historicum I, but different continents and a different scenario.
This, the second map in the Theatrum Historicum series, is set in 600BC. Nebuchadnezzar's Babylon reigns supreme in the rich fertile crescent, but Medo-Persia lurks to the east, and Egypt to the west. Greece and the Phoenicians are new powers in the Mediterranean, vying for control, and the Barbarians are watching from the north for an opportunity to seize the wealthy lands. Will one become strong enough to take on the eastern powers for control of the fertile crescent? |

 | War of 2112 version 1.75 rated 3.5 (56 votes) by Alexander_the_Great | A 'War of 2112' consists of the Greek Islands and Turkey. The map also outlines a futuristic background story setting the stage for war. Tread carefully navigating the Greek Islands. |

 | Quasicrystal version 1.3 rated 3.5 (56 votes) by Sir Holo | This quasicrystal desperately wants to become a real crystal. Please help this poor guy by conquering the areas of symmetry.
Watch for subtle variations in defensible borders as you gain territory. Only independent areas of 5-fold and 2-fold symmetry (huh?) give a country bonus.
This revision has some country tweaks, and proper association with the oh-so-helpful theme files. |

 | Star Trek Hex version 1.2 rated 3.5 (52 votes) by liquidfire | This is a hex map of how space is divided between different powers in the Star Trek universe.
I have chosen not to include all powers because some have too small territory, so I have treated them as neutral territory and made holes in the map.
I made some changes in some of the powers territories to make the map more fun to play.
This map only shows the alfa and beta quadrant.

 | Castle Lux IP version 1.0 rated 3.5 (51 votes) by Sillysoft Games | Castle Lux optimized for Lux DLX!
For ages Ipodia was quiet and peaceful. A secluded corner of Luxdom reserved for the wealthy and powerful nobility. Kings, Queens, and Mods from all across Luxdom would rest amongst the luscious gardens, sparkling lakes, and rolling hills, free from the daily grind of conquering and pillaging RAW. Now, all of that has come to an abrupt end! The population of Luxdom is growing rapidly, and with it, the covetous desire for expansive empires. The four RAW richest Luxtopians have built state-of-the-art, easily defendable Castles and are now working on plans to conquer the whole of Ipodia! |

 | Quasicrystal - Mandala version 0.9 rated 3.5 (46 votes) by Sir Holo | Concentrate upon the beauty of the mandala. The patterns, the symmetry, but wait. There's trouble in paradise. Some new-age mumbo jumbo has shattered the unity of the blah blah blah blah. . . .
Will you take control of the center as your power base? Or, will you slowly accumulate territory of the small continents? Or, perhaps if you're sneaky, you can control the universe through the seven far-flung corners of the universe.
The path to choose is yours, grasshopper. Now go kick some ass for your Buddha!

 | Battle Of Europe version 1.0 rated 3.5 (39 votes) by David Blumberg | After WWII the European Union was created to encourage cooperation and peace on the continent, and for the next 200 years the peoples of Europe lived together as one. But the project that started out as a coal and steel union soon became too bloated and bureaucratic, and some nations refused to comply with EU regulations. Other member-states took offence to this and imposed sanctions and blockades.
As the EU slowly crumbled, new alliances were formed. Sweden joined the Scandinavian and Baltic states and created the Nordic Alliance, while Germany joined its closest neighbours to form a Central power. France, Spain, Portugal and Italy joined forces in the West, while the Balkan states, Greece, Turkey, Romania, Bulgaria and Moldova formed an alliance in the East. Russia reconnected with some of its former satellites while Britain remained true to its isle and joined Ireland.
Tension between the different alliances was on the rise and war finally broke out when the Central Alliance invaded and reclaimed Kaliningrad. The rest of Europe began their own wars of conquest and so the peace was broken... |

 | 12th Century Europe version 1.3 rated 3.4 (148 votes) by Dushan | I've been tweaking my first (and so far only) map a little, adding a few connections and that sort of thing. The Byzantine Empire needs to be aware of the danger posed by Venice; the red line indicates a one-way connection from Venice to a number of Byzantine and Dalmatian territories.
I've redrawn a few territories to make them bigger and easier to click, and I split one other territory into two.

 | BattlePlanets - Hegemony of Sirax version 1.2 rated 3.4 (117 votes) by SunTzu | BATTLEPLANETS: HEGEMONY OF SIRAX
The death of Lord Eruyk in 2791 EY marked the beginning of what historians call the Hegemony of Sirax. Since Lord Eruyk had no heirs, the six regional viceroys began to consolidate their power, hoping to exert their political will and become the next Imperator.
Within 2 years the political maneuverings gave way to outright bloodshed, marking the bloodiest 20 years in the history of the Endar Empire.
By 2796 EY, the Viceory of Sirax had established herself as the strongest contender by forging an alliance with the Viceory of Gaus. Shortly thereafter, the other Viceroys formed alliances of their own: Alderst/Frestern and Vispar/Rubius.
One by one, Sirax was able to slowly expand her control over the others. Finally, in 2813 EY the Viceroy of Sirax forced Vispar to submit to her rule, enabling her to claim the title of Imperator.
DETAILS
Gameplay is different than most maps since there are no continents, just planets.
Planets come in two sizes: large and small. The large planets (Seats of the Viceroys) are worth three times as much as the small planets.
42 Planets
Large: 6
Small: 36 |

 | Teleport version 1.1 rated 3.4 (95 votes) by Patrick Cummings | Okay, here's how it works. Each "platform" is made up seven chunks and is worth ten bonus armies for controlling it. At the center of each platform is a "teleporter". A "teleporter" can attack any other "teleporter" and may also attack (one-way only) the outer-ring of any "platform" except for the outer-ring of the "platform" attacking from.
This is my first map and I wanted to do something that would provide a challenge. According to the tutorial, circles are the hardest shapes to deal with when creating maps, so I made ovals instead (yes, that is harder than circles). Enjoy!

 | The Rise of Islam version 1.0 rated 3.4 (86 votes) by Evan Williams | Map of the Middle East with focus on the Arabian Peninsula. 55 provinces in 21 regions (including 4 single-province regions), with each region worth 2 income. Best viewed with minimal border width.
Scenario info:
632 C.E. (11 A.H.): The death of Muhammad throws the Arabian continent into turmoil. The MUSLIM CALIPHATE (1) is faced with enemies on all sides. The immediate threat is the MUSLIM REBELS (2) who have refused to recognize Abu Bakr as the first Caliph (according to the Sunnis, they were following the false prophet Musaylima; according to the Shiites, their main objective was to place Ali on the throne). Additionally, a number of unconverted ARAB TRIBES (3) have taken this opportunity to declare their independence.
Even if the Arabs can unify, they will still face a serious threat from outside powers. Tensions are steadily rising with the KINGDOM OF AKSUM (4), which sees itself as the defender of Arabia's Christian communities. Meanwhile, although the BYZANTINE EMPIRE (5) and the SASSANID EMPIRE (6) are largely preoccupied with fighting each other, they are beginning to notice the events on the peninsula; neither is prepared to tolerate a new rival.
In actual history, the Caliphate conquered the map. Can you do likewise? |

 | Wars Of The Roses version 1.0 rated 3.4 (76 votes) by illusionlost | WARS OF THE ROSES
The Wars of the Roses (1455–1485) were a series of civil wars fought over the throne of England between adherents of the House of Lancaster and the House of York. Both houses were branches of the Plantagenet royal house, tracing descent from King Edward III.
The name "Wars of the Roses" is not thought to have been used during the time of the wars, but has its origins in the badges associated with the two royal houses, the Red Rose of Lancaster and the White Rose of York. The term itself came into common use only in the nineteenth century, after the publication of Anne of Geierstein by Sir Walter Scott.

 | Montreal version 1.02 rated 3.4 (68 votes) by Hugo Dufort | This is the first public version of the "Montreal Metropolitan Area" board. It features 48 "countries" (cities or municipalities) and 8 "continents" (metropolitan areas or regions). The boundaries loosely follow the actual municipal boundaries; however, many smaller towns were merged. The bridges shown on the map are real (though I had to remove a few bridges to make the map playable). It is a good map for beginners looking for something simple, or for evil luxers who crave for a short but violent game. The map has been fairly balanced through extensive testing with both humans and bots.
THE STORY
The year is 2000... and a nasty civil war is brewing in the Montreal Metropolitan Area. After an unsuccessful referendums on city mergers, a bunch of crazy gun-toting mayors and city councellors went on a rampage. It didn't take very long for this to escalate into a full-scale nuclear conflict. Chateauguay was nuked. So was L'Assomption. Nobody gived a damn. Half of the bridges went down after being hit by explosive-packed beluga whales trained by a secret terrorist group named 'Free Laval or Die Trying'. Mohawk indians decided to reconquer their homeland. In the end, people were fighting with their bare hands for control of the metropolitan region (well, at least, the remaining non-radioactive parts).
- Unify Montreal and fulfill mayor Tremblay's crazy dreams of "One island, one city"!
- Reunify half of the south shore into the Greater Longueuil, a super suburban megapolis filled with malls, boulevards, parking lots and video rental stores!
- Try to defend the Laurentides region, yeah, try it... with the *huge* Mirabel airport in your backyard, you're heading for trouble!
- And finally, you can also play the ever pissed-off Mohawks, who can (almost magically) smuggle armies between their two reserves!

 | North America Tribal War version 1.5 rated 3.4 (58 votes) by Neil Melville | Alternate Reality North America - where Native American technology is equal to the invading Medieval Europeans. The players represent the Russian, Spanish, French, English, Viking, Iroquois, and Aztec Nations.
54 countries - 8 continents, 9 castles.
800 pixels high, 720 wide.
Armies cannot normally cross major bodies of water such as Lake Winnepeg, the Great Lakes, The Colorado River, the Mississippi, and the Rio Grande. Special crossings are guarded by forts. There are also a few established routes for war barges on the open sea.
This is the first map I have created. I wanted a North America map that was less complicated for a quick fun game. |

 | Cluxdo version 1.1 rated 3.4 (57 votes) by Sylocat | One evening at the mansion of Mr. Quasar, he was eliminated first in a game. There are five suspects, five maps, and five solutions to be made of them.
Fight through Mr. Quasar's mansion and enter one of the 10 rooms there (rooms at the four corners have secret passages, keep that in mind). Once there, you can accuse any one of the suspects by attacking their suspect card from there. Accusations cannot be taken back (by which I mean that armies moved from a room to a suspect card cannot be returned to the board OR moved to a different suspect card), don't get stuck!
From the suspect card, you may select a map and attack that map's info card. You CAN move from map file to map file up and down, but you CAN'T move back onto the suspect files from there, so once again, don't get stuck!
A correct solution will get a hefty bonus! |

 | Arkansas - Corporate Takeover version 1.0 rated 3.4 (52 votes) by Mark Bauer | The first Lux-Mart was established in 2002 by the brilliant entrepreneur Walton Quasar Sacks (no relation), in the tiny Arkansas town of Bentonville. The first Lux-Mart only offered a random map generator and single player action, but soon expanded to offer a larger map selection as well as online play. Sacks was able to offer raw at a slightly discounted price, allowing everyone to Lux better, while at the same time pushing out his competitors. The cheap raw and abundance of maps soon made Lux-Mart a Mecca for strategy enthusiasts from across the world. As profits grew, Walton opened Lux-Marts at key points around the state so as to better corner the raw market. Now he is in a position to takeover the entire state! Using his state of the art private satellite network, Sacks has coordinated a bold initiative to inspire the low-paid managers of the Lux-Marts. Whoever can achieve the highest raw sales by the end of the quarter will get their picture hung up in the hallway! You are one of the managers, and it's time to prove yourself!
But remember, the customer is always right. |

 | Wyoming - The Cowboy State version 1.1 rated 3.4 (46 votes) by Mark Bauer | The dude ranches of Wyoming have been flexing their muscles. High-talkin' city folk with their corporate backing and "taste for a little western adventure" have poured seemingly endless amounts of funds into these up-start, phony, ranches. They consistently antagonize and belittle the cattle drivers and farmers of the state. Now, tensions are at a breaking point! Cowboys from around the state are breaking their beer bottles on the edge of the bar and pointing the sharp glass shards in the general direction of those they mean to inflict harm upon! Wyoming may be the least populous state in the Union, but that doesn't mean war isn't as brutal! YEEHAW!!!
