 | Europe Large--The Northmen version 1.1 rated 3.5 (118 votes) by Daniel Myers | A new twist on Europe Large. This map is based on the year 700, as the Northmen begin their descent on Europe. In their sites are the wealthy monasteries of Ireland and Britain. The Russian plains are still an empty, wild area; their presence will be felt there as well. In the south, however, rich cultures flourish, as the cities of Constantinople and Rome are preeminent. The Franks are the power of the West, as the Visigoth empire of Spain has declined. In the far south, a new threat is on the horizon: the Moslems. Will the barbarians destroy the civilized nations, or will the economic might of the Italians and Byzantines gain the victory?
Version 1.1: I have balanced the scenario to make everyone have a fairly equal chance at victory. The game is hardest when the Barbarians and Northmen are Yakool, and the other 4 are Evil Pixie. I do that by turning off random turn order; the first in the list will be the Barbarians, and the last the Northmen. I also added an overground to the theme. |

 | Kievan Rus version 1.1 rated 3.5 (91 votes) by CFelt | In the Twelfth century A. D., Varangian raiders from Scandinavia invaded the Ukraine and founded the Kievan state, which would quickly grow to become the most powerful nation in Eastern Europe. The Kievan Rus' greatest competitor (and cultural parnter) was the Byzantine Empire on the far shores of the Black Sea, but the new state also faced opposition from the Magyars and Germanic tribes to the West, and from the Finnic and Central Asian peoples to the North and East. |

 | Hex, Cubed version 1.1 rated 3.5 (91 votes) by Preacherman | v1.1 provides a 6 player starting scenario.
Shamelessly milking the Hex series for all it's worth, Hex Cubed provides literally minutes of fun for the experienced Luxer. Smile wryly to yourself as Noobs try and figure out how to actually take continents. Shake your head as you painstakingly have to explain it to them over and over again. Grimace as the same tired old shapes and themes start making your eyes go funny. And curse me as you begin to wonder why you ever bothered downloading it. On a brighter note, this will probably be the last in the Hex series, as let's face it - it's just not that much fun anymore. |

 | Star Trek Hex version 1.2 rated 3.5 (69 votes) by liquidfire | This is a hex map of how space is divided between different powers in the Star Trek universe.
I have chosen not to include all powers because some have too small territory, so I have treated them as neutral territory and made holes in the map.
I made some changes in some of the powers territories to make the map more fun to play.
This map only shows the alfa and beta quadrant.

 | Arkansas - Corporate Takeover version 1.0 rated 3.5 (68 votes) by Mark Bauer | The first Lux-Mart was established in 2002 by the brilliant entrepreneur Walton Quasar Sacks (no relation), in the tiny Arkansas town of Bentonville. The first Lux-Mart only offered a random map generator and single player action, but soon expanded to offer a larger map selection as well as online play. Sacks was able to offer raw at a slightly discounted price, allowing everyone to Lux better, while at the same time pushing out his competitors. The cheap raw and abundance of maps soon made Lux-Mart a Mecca for strategy enthusiasts from across the world. As profits grew, Walton opened Lux-Marts at key points around the state so as to better corner the raw market. Now he is in a position to takeover the entire state! Using his state of the art private satellite network, Sacks has coordinated a bold initiative to inspire the low-paid managers of the Lux-Marts. Whoever can achieve the highest raw sales by the end of the quarter will get their picture hung up in the hallway! You are one of the managers, and it's time to prove yourself!
But remember, the customer is always right. |

 | NAPOLEON - First Italian Campaign version 1.0 rated 3.5 (65 votes) by SunTzu | NAPOLEON: First Italian Campaign (1796)
On March 2, 1796 the Directors of the French Republic appointed Napoleon Bonaparte as the commander-in-chief of the Army of Italy. This was primarily a political manoeuvre, getting the ambitious young artillery commander - recently promoted to general at the age of 26 - out of Paris and relegating him to the most neglected of the French Republic's thirteen principal field armies.
Almost immediately after Napoleon arrived he began a whirlwind campaign in Northern Italy. Within two weeks he defeated the Sardinians in Piedmont. After a brief respite he marched eastward and drove the Austrians out of Lombardy, taking control of Milan.
Napoleon then wanted to pursue the Austrians into Tyrol, but the French Directory in Paris ordered him to swerve south, attacking the Duchy of Parma, the Duchy of Modena, the Grand Duchy of Tuscany, and the Papal States. In less than a month Napoleon was back in Milan, having successfully achieved the capitulation of the aforementioned territories.
Now more than ever, Napoleon was determined to drive the Austrians out of Italy. His main obstacle, however, was the strongest Austrian base in Italy: the fortress of Mantua. He had begun the siege of Mantua during his southern excursion, and now resumed it with renewed vigor.
Napoleon was able to capture or defeat all armies sent to relieve Mantua, and the city finally surrendured in January, 1797. After a brief southern raid into the Papal States, Napoloen marched north through the Alps towards the gates of Vienna, forcing Austria to sue for peace. |

 | Theatrum Historicum II--The Ancient World version 1.1 rated 3.5 (65 votes) by Daniel Myers | Theatrum Historicum (literally, Historic Theater) is a map covering Europe, North Africa, and West Asia. Based on a map in David Rumsey's map collection, this board provides a good base for historical scenarios. This map has the same territories as Theatrum Historicum I, but different continents and a different scenario.
This, the second map in the Theatrum Historicum series, is set in 600BC. Nebuchadnezzar's Babylon reigns supreme in the rich fertile crescent, but Medo-Persia lurks to the east, and Egypt to the west. Greece and the Phoenicians are new powers in the Mediterranean, vying for control, and the Barbarians are watching from the north for an opportunity to seize the wealthy lands. Will one become strong enough to take on the eastern powers for control of the fertile crescent? |

 | Battle Of Europe version 1.0 rated 3.5 (63 votes) by David Blumberg | After WWII the European Union was created to encourage cooperation and peace on the continent, and for the next 200 years the peoples of Europe lived together as one. But the project that started out as a coal and steel union soon became too bloated and bureaucratic, and some nations refused to comply with EU regulations. Other member-states took offence to this and imposed sanctions and blockades.
As the EU slowly crumbled, new alliances were formed. Sweden joined the Scandinavian and Baltic states and created the Nordic Alliance, while Germany joined its closest neighbours to form a Central power. France, Spain, Portugal and Italy joined forces in the West, while the Balkan states, Greece, Turkey, Romania, Bulgaria and Moldova formed an alliance in the East. Russia reconnected with some of its former satellites while Britain remained true to its isle and joined Ireland.
Tension between the different alliances was on the rise and war finally broke out when the Central Alliance invaded and reclaimed Kaliningrad. The rest of Europe began their own wars of conquest and so the peace was broken... |

 | WWII Russian Front version 1.0 rated 3.5 (61 votes) by Kruelgor | 2-Player Scenario. Recommended card sequene 5-5-5.
Operation Barbarossa was the code name for Germany's surprise invasion of the Soviet Union on 22nd June 1941. Over 4.5 million troops of the Axis powers invaded the USSR along an 1,800 mile front. It is the largest military offensive in history. The Soviet Union suffered catastrophic losses to the German invaders initially, but recovered to hurl the Axis powers into retreat. Russian forces finally captured Berlin and Germany surrendered on May 9th, 1945. |

 | Kelly version 1.0 rated 3.5 (60 votes) by Behemoth | In 1879 the Victorian police issued a notice for the capture of ‘The Kelly Gang’ - ‘$8000 REWARD. Robbery. Murder.’
There was an air of desperation about this generous offer - not only had the first reward of $4000 failed to excite public support but the gang’s latest venture saw them effectively take control of an entire town, stealing and vandalizing without contest - as brazen and cunning a crime as any, points noted by a royal commission which later looked into the event:
“The daring with which this outrage was committed, and the impunity with which the gang were allowed to swoop down upon a township, to bail up the police, to rob one of the banks, and return to their haunts in Victoria, marked this episode as one of the most extraordinary in the whole career of the outlaws.“
A colorful story which the public had an appetite for, especially news of its unofficial leader Ned Kelly, seen by many as more of a social bandit than a robber. This view was destined to stick as details of the latest crime came to light, of when Ned took pause from robbing the bank to locate the townsfolk’s mortgage deeds and torch them. Whether the debts were voided is unclear but it certainly afforded the man a Robin Hoodesque quality.
It was Ironic that a letter written by Ned Kelly for publication and presented in person to the editor of a newspaper failed to get a run. In this document, now known now as ‘The Jerilderie letter’, Ned Kelly explained the reasons for him being an outlaw via a personal account of discrimination against the Irish Catholic settler and of the ill treatment his family had suffered at the hands of police and Irish Protestant squatters. It has since been recognized as an important historical artifact and record of the man’s character, not appreciated by the newsman at the time who passed it onto the police. This was as close to the gang as police would get for more than a year.
It was 1880 when news reached the gang of a special police train carrying a hunting party scheduled to pass through the town of Glenrowan . This was an opportunity to stop running. Somewhere along that stretch of line they'd bring the train off the rails.
The gang arrived in Glenrowan and holed up the Ann Jones Inn, chosen for close proximity to the railway. They had to detain about 70 locals while at the Inn to ensure their presence remain secret. Among the hostages was Glenrowan schoolteacher Thomas Curnow. He put it to the Gang he be allowed to return home for family matters and was freed, an unwise call it would turn out, as the man immediately alerted police of the gang and the danger to the train.
With their plans foiled it is unclear why the Kelly Gang did not flee before the Inn was entirely surrounded by police. Perhaps they never intended to. One thing is for sure, they had planned for such an encounter and forged suits of plate metal amour, bulky and exceedingly heavy but tuff enough to repel bullets.
It was early morning when police saw four figures emerge from the Inn and take position on the verandah. In the near dark they were an unnerving sight, appeared like four misshapen giants. Perhaps that confusion lent the Kelly Gang a moment or two more grace before the first volley of police fire greeted them. The brute violence of lead smashing against metal was staggering, but none of them fell, and once steady they advanced, firing into the haze of gun smoke and cartridge flash rising from the police line.
It was this moment of crazed defiance that Ned Kelly and the Kelly Gang would be most remembered. |

 | Franco-Prussian War HD version 1.1 rated 3.5 (55 votes) by Mark Bauer | This map has been optimized for use on the iPad.
Tension between France and Prussia had been building for years when Spanish rebels overthrew Queen Isabella of Spain. The rebels offered the vacant Spanish thrown to a Prussian prince. Napoleon III of France, immediately protested this move and threatened war against Prussia. Wilhelm I of Prussia agreed to back off the Spanish thrown. Falsely sensing weakness, Napoleon III demanded that no Prussian monarch ever be considered for the Spanish thrown. In response, Wilhelm sent a telegram from his vacation home in Ems, politely refusing this demand. Wilhelm's Prime Minister, Otto Von Bismarck, sensed opportunity to orchestrate war and unite Germany. He edited the telegram and insulted the French, while at the same time making it sound as if the French had insulted Wilhelm. The scheme worked. France declared war on Prussia, and under skillful diplomatic maneuvering, Bismarck ensured that the independent Germanic states allied with Prussia, thus uniting Germany against a common foe. |

 | New Hampshire - The Last First Primary version 1.2 rated 3.5 (49 votes) by Mark Bauer | The front-runner for the nomination of the President of the United States misinterpreted the media's definition of a "battleground" state. Taking the term literally, the candidate brought his own private army to New Hampshire assuming that it must be conquered by force in order to win the election. Not wanting to appear weak, all the other candidates followed suite. Soon the tiny northeastern State was at war, as each candidate fought desperately to conquer every corner and "convince" every voter. The last, first primary has begun and it's safe to say that this election season has started off with a bang! |

 | THE HOT GATES - Mini version 1.3 rated 3.5 (33 votes) by Behemoth | It is 480 BC when the armies of Persia descend on Greece. A comparatively small force of Greeks march to meet the invaders at Thermopylae and The Hot Gates where the only road into Greece narrows sharply between cliffs, choking an armies advance. It is Ideal terrain for the Greek’s phalanx, and for three days they use the advantage of the gates to repel wave after wave of Persian assault. Hope is dashed though when the Greek traitor Ephialtes leads the Persians to ‘The Anopaia Path’, a tiny goat trail granting access to Greece around the gates. Undone, the bulk of the Greek army retreat, leaving only a handful of soldiers behind, chiefly Spartans - their King, Leonidas and his tiny regiment of career soldiers thought to number as little as 300. These men fight on, not for victory in battle but that their defiance will send a message. Indeed, even as Persian swords cut them down the story of the battle and the bravery at The Hot Gates spreads throughout the land, and with it, hope.

 | 12th Century Europe version 1.3 rated 3.4 (173 votes) by Dushan | I've been tweaking my first (and so far only) map a little, adding a few connections and that sort of thing. I've redrawn a few territories to make them bigger and easier to click, and I split one other territory into two.
