 | Krynn version 1.1 rated 3.1 (94 votes) by Gus Lindquist as generated by Lux Mapper, by Gus Lindquist | For dragonlance fans out there, here is my first version of a map of Krynn. (well, the continent of Ansalon at least).
I'm happy to say that this it the first map I've generated, in only 30 minutes time, from a Mapping GUI utility I've developed specifically for Lux. Right now it is "alpha" stage, meaning that I can use it successfully to do pretty much anything I want, but I can break it easily. When I get the kinks out of it, I'll post it somewhere as shareware. However, if you are feeling daring, feel free to email me (lindquist@beastware.com) and I'll send you a very breakable, yet functional alpha.
Cheers!
Gus

 | Mid Atlantic States version 2.3 rated 3.1 (88 votes) by A.Vespucci | Conquer the NE US from the Adirondacks and Lake Ontario to the North all the way to the Chesapeake and Washington, DC to the South! Own the famed beaches of Long Island, the Jersey Shore, Delaware and the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Stake your territory Westward to the Appalachians! Gain control of the Big Apple and the Capital Beltway.
This is a large map of the five Mid Atlantic States (NY, NJ, PA, MD, DE) and Washington, DC by county. Each county is a Country. Traditional Regions in Each State are Continents. Bonus points are based on an algorithm that takes into account both number of Counties ("Countries") and actual population figures. Therefore, some densely urban, but small areas contain a disproportionate amount of bonus points, making play challenging and unorthodox. In this version, continent bonuses have been recalculated to give more weight to dense population centers. Don't overlook undervalued but highly strategic locales like Delaware.
The softly muted background theme is a collage of iconic photographs from various areas throughout the Middle Atlantic States.
I have also included an enlarged map of the NYC Metro area as an inset to make play easier for these small countries Lines have now been drawn depicting where real bridges and tunnels connect the boroughs of NYC with one another and the mainland.
In Version 2.3, I have adjusted continent bonuses to make play more level. In the last version, some continent bonuses were so large, it was difficult for other players to compete against the owners of these continents (esp., NYC, the Delaware Valley, Potomac, etc.)

 | Tasmania version 1.3 rated 3.1 (86 votes) by Rick Godman | A beautiful place to live. Because the roads in this map are accurate to the real world, there are a number of towns at the south end of the map easily defended by holding 1 or 2 choke points. On the other hand, cities are worth a bonus and three of them are in the north. The clickable area of each town/city is much larger than it looks, clicking anywhere near the town/city will do. |

 | World War 3 Risk version 4.4 rated 3.1 (72 votes) by Bob McCartney (BarStar), Tokyokid | Thanks to BarStar for the original map.
NOTE: All fleets (boxes) can attack surrounding fleets and countries.
When I watched 6 bots play this map, it took them 160 rounds to finish! It took them 54 rounds the second time. It took them 69 rounds the third time. It took them 445 rounds the last time! So i guess the average rounds this map takes to play is: 182 rounds. So this is a pretty long map!
THE STORY: It is August 27th, 2100 A.D. The Chinese and Korean announced to the world that the have started an alliance and they have power with nuclear bombs. The United States feared this would happen. Ms. President Georgette Bush (Yes, the third Bush.) declares war on the alliance on September 6th, 2010. Troops were sent to China first. There, they had the bloodiest war in American history. Hundreds of Thousands died in the 7-day period. Struggling to survive, the Chinese surrendered and let the Koreans take over the battle. The population of America was going down. Children as young as 9 and women went to war. The Americans won the war after Korea dropped a bomb on all the nuclear plants; fortunately, The U.S had a plane that managed to get the most powerful nuclear bomb in the world. The plane zoomed of to the middle of China and dropped it. The effect was spectacular. The explosion was heard all over the world. That explosion caused the biggest Tsunami, Earthquake and Tidal wave ever. The alliance surrendered.
Epilogue: 100 years after those fateful days, almost all the world is polluted in radiation. Everyone is mad. There is no room for politics; everything is just go, go, And GO! Now 2200 A.D. another World War is building up. And it will be a lot nastier.
Coming Soon: World War 4 Risk (Don't anybody copy, please. =)

 | Get Factored version 1.0 rated 3.1 (66 votes) by Rick Godman | Good Luck!!! I have to say this isn't my favourite map - in fact, consider it more of an experiment than a game. Know your multiplication tables? Good, cause you'll need them! It's really quite simply, access from 4 is to 8,12,16,20,24 etc... access from any number is to any of the factors of that number, so (a) expect a lot of action around 1,2,3,4 etc and (b) watch out for those prime numbers, the little mongrels which can only be accessed through 1 because the only thing that can be multiplied to get them is 1 and themselves (eg 17). It's a mathematical headspin of mega proportions, and I haven't managed to win a single game yet!!! Have fun, good luck, and I'll give an iron-pyrites-embossed hamster dropping to the first person who wins a game! |

 | BIG TROUBLE version 1.01 rated 3.1 (60 votes) by Behemoth | You are a GIGANTIC MONSTER hell-bent on the senseless annihilation of every city in the world. Problem is there are five other monsters loose with exactly the same agenda. What are the odds...
To make matters worse the pesky humans have responded to the monster threat with a barrage of biological and nuclear weapons. Seems your plan of leveling all civilization has really pissed them off. Silly little ants, they'll be nothing left to crush if they keep it up.
So, what's the plan?
*DESTROY ALL MONSTERS*
*AVOID WANDERING INTO WEAPONIZED BIOLOGICAL WASTE OR STEPPING ON A MUSHROOM CLOUD*
*LEVEL THE DAMN PLANET*
- CAST OF CHARACTERS -
The 400 TONNE BABE - Ironically this former women’s pro baseball player and aspiring model turned gargantuan after eating out-of-date weight loss pills. 400 is best known for uprooting and 'pitching' the Playboy mansion when Hefner declined to run her pre-400 photo shoot. The mansion and guests are reportedly still in orbit.
The BIG APE - An exceptionally large primate.
The SUPERSIZED SKINK - A skyscraper high reptile with chronic gingivitis.
The JELLY-LIKE MONSTROSITY - Despite having consumed whole cities the MONSTROSITY still tastes just like jelly.
The TIN CAN FROM OUTER SPACE - It's advanced alien robotics and sheer mass makes it the toughest of the six. Weak point: a single cell organism could out smart it's AI.
The HOMICIDAL MEGA-MASCOT – Fun Fudge confectionary company’s mascot Fun Bear was adored by customers almost as much as he was by Fun Fudge shareholders. So no questions were asked when it’s marketing department invested half a billion dollars on a top-secret Fun Bear ‘makeover’ to be unveiled at Dallas Cowboys Stadium on Super Sunday. Spectators at the venue sure got a surprise when the 1500 foot high, walking, talking, robotic Fun Bear MEGA-MASCOT tore the stadium down. Fun Fudge is suing rival company Fudgetastic for tampering with MEGA-MASCOT’S programming. |

 | World Fire Deluxe version 1.1 rated 3.1 (59 votes) by Yukala | 308 countries, 32 continents or empires and capitol cities, set on 1529 by 1242 fitting 1600x1200 dpi screeens, or generally 20 inch monitors for no scrolling. Plays fast and furious, especially when using 'hard AI's'. Includes, Indus, Mongols and Atlantis. 'Delux' version includes 11 Capitols as continents centering their respective countries. For balance and difficulty the corners are also connected, so each continent has some kind of back-door. Fun, hard and exciting. Tell me what you think! I also recommend varied AI settings and a more aggressive card sequence for gameplay. Max income can reach 349! This map spits fire.

 | Land of the Long White Cloud version 1.1 rated 3.1 (58 votes) by Rick Godman | A Luxer called Philip Lyth, from New Zealand, sent me a 'Thankyou' email for a couple of my other maps, so I was inspired to make one for the 'Land of the Long White Cloud'. But after about 3 attempts I still wasn't sure what era to base it on! So with a bit of modern satellite terrain, some notes of Captain Cook's, and borders that are a mix of modern electoral boundaries, Maori tribal boundaries, and just plain made up ones, plus a few inset enlargements because everyone just loves them(!), here it is! With all these mixed elements in the map it shouldn't work, but somehow it does - which sums up modern New Zealand society perfectly. Enjoy. |

 | Arizona version 1.1 rated 3.1 (56 votes) by RandomGuy | Arizona - the Grand Canyon State
As of 2006, Arizona has become the fastest growing state in population in the United States. And all those people have to go somewhere. Under the influx of new residents, fighting breaks out amongst the regions of the state - which area will conquer the rest and control the masses?

 | Ying Yang Tennis Balls version 1.0 rated 3.1 (55 votes) by Rick Godman | Wow man, if you like look at a ying yang and turn your head just like this, they turn into tennis balls and frowning aliens, and sometimes when you listen real good they speak Words of Wisdom to you, man. I guess it proves everything is the same but different, and if you can remember the sixties, man, you weren't even there...
Well, that's the game description anyway. The 60's might have been a time of peace and love but this map plays mean and hard. No doubt it'll be rated down to the 2's or 1's since anyway who's beaten by a map seems to rate it zero, preferring to blame the map not their own gameplay abilities. |

 | Runescape version 2.0 rated 3.1 (55 votes) by Seth Myhre | Runescape the massave fabled land is now a Lux map!
Those who have not played Runescape may not understand how things are connected, but no worry I have marked them on the map. To simplify things I didn't add teleportation ability (If I had you could get to any city from anywhere). Transportation by Gnome Gliders, and ships are still usable - and are marked apropriately. Spirit Trees are marked but not usable for transport. Unlike Runescape the Gnome Gliders can get to any other glider. The Gnomes currently are the only race that knows how to get to Crash Island, so you have to take a Gnome Glider to get to it. The red teleport is a one way trip from entrana to Mid Wilderness. The Blue Teleport is a two way connection from Ardougne to the Deserted Keep. The Green Teleport is a two way connection from Tutorial Island to Lumbridge. All black areas are uncharted regions of the map and as of yet have not been explored in the game. Enjoy Being an adventurer in the land of Runescape!
Version 2.0: Fixed connection between Seers Villiage and Catherby
Version 1.9: Woops I was too tired to think the connection made in 1.8 was not to lumbridge but to Port serim.
Version 1.8: Fixed connection from Port Serim to Crandor it is now two way as it should be.
For those with small screens: This is a large map 970x768 pixels.
Disclaimer: This map is based off the online RPG Runescape. Runescape is property of the Jagex company. Therefore I have not used any map pictures or logos from it. Just about all the country names have names from Runescape though. |

 | Germany - Bring the wall down version 1.11 rated 3.1 (53 votes) by Shane Hunter | Bring down the Wall and reunite Germany. To conquer this map you must bring together not only the country but its two capitals as well.
Note the occupying country flags as they provide access into their respective occupied sectors in Berlin. The Wall is still in place and as such you may only cross between East and West Berlin via Checkpoint Charlie located between Tiergarten and Mitte.
Since Bonn is part of the West it can only be reached from the state that it resides in.
The city proper is also a bottleneck between its northern and southern districts. |
|
 | Sea Beer version 1.51 rated 3.1 (53 votes) by top row | Happy Luxtoberfest?
Not for those in North America of the future. Global warming, melting ice caps, mutating algae, record grain crops, indiscriminant dumping of surplus grain in the ocean and lakes results in what at first was seen as the miracle of Sea Beer. This miracle of nature is only possible in northern latitude where pools of ice cap melt water and mutating algae co-exist.
What was at first a bonaza of malty goodness turns skunky when supply becomes inconsistent. North Americans, except for the non-conformist South Dry Territory residents, succumbed to the taste of Sea Beer, lost their previous national and provincial affiliations and aligned along the new beer terminal distribution areas. That's the power of the taste of Sea Beer.
Battle to control the North American Sea Beer supply.
All terminals are worth 1.

 | Japanese Empire version 1.4 rated 3.1 (53 votes) by Mark Bauer-modified by The Mapmaker | This is a mod of Mark Bauer's poorly done Japan map...I'm just kidding mb, it's a GREAT map...but the bonuses we're bogus, so I've divided the island of Honshu into the actual regions that divide the language (dialect), custom and cultures between the Japanese that live on Honshu. To make the map more geographically correct, I added all the correct names for the Prefectures that makeup Japan.
