The year is 1898. The once mighty Spanish empire is in decline. The crown is bankrupt and revolts have broken out in three of their most important colonies-Cuba, Puerto Rico, and the Philippines. The United States keeps a keen eye on the developments, eager to scoop up the Caribbean and Pacific islands for themselves. When the USS Maine mysteriously exploded in Havana harbor, President McKinley had the justification for involvement that he was looking for. The US demanded Spain cease control of Cuba. Spain responded with a declaration of War! Can Spain save their crumbling empire or will the US finally arrive as a world power?!
