Beta 90
Beta 90
Castle Vox Beta 90 is now available. Download it here:
http://sillysoft.net/vox/beta/
- This release should fix a bunch of bugs. I've rebooted all the online hosts to this newest version.
- Beta maps are now hidden by default. To have them show up in your map manager, type /set showBetaMaps in any chat area and then recache.
- Tweaked sound effects.
- specified starting music selection for more maps.
- tweaked window sizing.

Listened hard for the tweaks to the SFX. Maybe they're subtle?
You're applying the one set of effects to all maps now. Do you plan to create different sets?
Reason I ask is that the sound of horses neighing an running seems out of place on some maps. Works well for colonial and ancient maps, or with a theme like HADES but in for WWII, THE BIG LEAGUE and THE POLE for instance it's a mis-match. I realise horses were used in WWII and still are for urban policing but in WWII the images of Tanks on the screen does not pair well with the sound of hooves clomping.
I did find them amusing in a Cosmic Clash though.
